Additional Information

Henry CONWAY:

Notes:
Journal of the House of Representatives of the United States at the first session of the fifteenth Congress in the forty-second year of the Independence of the United States, printed by E. D. Krafft 1817

Mr. Rhea presented a petition of Henry Conway, praying that
leave may be granted him to file, with the register of the land office,
in the territory of AL, evidence of his title to a tract of land,
in Mobile county, in the said territory. page 45 Dec 12

Zilpha TARVIN:

Notes:
She was living during the 1830 and 1840 census for Baldwin County and Lauderdale census of 1850 and 1866, Mobile census of 1855.

1830 Census: She was listed as "Sopha Conway" or maybe "Selpha", head of house with many small children
Apparently, she lived near her brother Elisha and Elijah because they were listed just above her in the census. This leads us to believe that "Sopha" is Zelpha. Brothers' last names were listed as Turvin.

Found in the 18 Congress, 1st Session, Journal of the House of Representatives of the United States, dated December 1, 1828 ( and in the 48th year of the independence of the United States).

page 105:

"Mr. Owen presented a petition of James Earles, in behalf of his wife Betsey; of John Boone, in behalf of his wife Raine; of Henry Conway on behalf of his wife Zilpha; of Elisha Tarvin and Elijah Tarvin, heirs and representatives of William Tarvin, sen'r deceased; praying for the confirmation oftheir title to a tract of land, derived from the Spanish government."

Betsey is Elizabeth Tarvin
Raine is Deramey Tarvin
Zilpha is Zilpha Tarvin
