William III TARVIN:
Name: William A TARVIN

Notes:
Probably died of yellow fever that swept through the area at the time. It is my understanding that his wife died near the same time. Supposedly, his two daughters were in school in Mobile at the time (at the Catholic church). They were adopted by Henry and Zilpha (Tarvin) Conway.

Nancy Ann married George Bankester, an Indian orphan raised by Henry's relatives. Their offspring are well documented in our branch of the Conway family because their granddaughter Sarah (Sallie) Bankester, daughter of Elizabeth "Bessie" Bankester married James Washington Buck, Sr. James and Sarah are my husband's 2nd greatgrandparents on his paternal grandmother's side. I have found no documentation indicating the identity of Sarah's father.

Note that William III Tarvin is my husbands 3rd great grand-uncle: William II Tarvin's daughter Zilpha married Henry Conway, their son was William Elijah, William Elijah's son was Arthur Miles, his son was Clyde, his son is John Conway, my husband Pete's father.

So, Robert Conway is related to the Tarvins via Nancy Ann, daughter of William III and Margaret (Conway) Tarvin (5th great grandson) and via Henry and Zilpha (Tarvin) Conway. -Dawn Conway
