James Mitchell Adams, Sr

BAY MINETTE -- James Mitchell Adams Sr., 63, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at his residence. He was a native of Cottonwood, Ala., and a resident of Chickasaw.

Adams was a retired truck driver with Creek Carrier Trucking Co.

He is survived by two sons, James Mitchell Adams Jr. of Bay Minette and James Donald Adams III of Chickasaw; five daughters, Tammy Adams, Courtney Adams and Kathryn Rasa, all of Chickasaw, Glenda Adams of Semmes and Brenda Johnston of Malcolm, Ala.; a brother, Jimmy W. Adams of Brookhaven, Miss.; five sisters, Shirley Jean Bush, Linda Homa and Faye Seymour, all of Bay Minette, Dorothy Santifort of Columbia, S.C., and Barbara Langley of Mobile; and 15 grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette with the Rev. Randy Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Bay Minette Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home.
