Jesse Woodrow Adams

Jesse Woodrow "Woody" Adams, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009. The Robertsdale resident was in the Merchant Marines during World War II and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant after 22 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Smith Adams, and a daughter, Christina Adams Reese, both of Robertsdale; two sons, Jesse B. Adams of Robertsdale, Daniel H. Adams of Eau Claire, Wis.; three sisters, Dalora Woodfall of Charleston, Ill., Fannie Mae Abney of Danville, Ill., Lois Reeves of Tuscola, Ill., and Mary Burris of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, Gordon Adams of Tuscola; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory in Robertsdale.
