Nancy Evelyn Chastang CatrettCATRETT Nancy Evelyn Chastang Catrett, 63, a native of the White House Fork community of Bay Minette and a resident of Stockton, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. She was a retired elementary school teacher with Bay Minette Elementary School. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren as "Nana" and "Nee." Survivors are: her husband, Larry Catrett of Stockton; her children, Becky Catrett Stephen of Bay Minette, Payton Catrett Gilheart of Fairhope and Larry Catrett II of Stockton; four grandchildren, Amberlyn Stephens, Brock Gilheart, Mary-Payton Gilheart and Greyson Gilheart; brother, James Chastang of White House Fork; and sister, Anna Pontius of Birmingham. The funeral was held Sunday, June 24 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bay Minette with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial was in Chastang Cemetery in White House Fork. Although the family will accept flowers they suggest memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1628, Bay Minette, AL 36507. Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
