Verona Jewel Hopwood Adams

GUNTERSVILLE - Verona Jewel Hopwood Adams, a Taft, Tenn. native and Guntersville resident, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at a North Baldwin Hospital in Bay Minette. She was 87.

Mrs. Adams, a homemaker, is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Hood of Gulf Shores; a brother, John Arthur Hopwood Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Onzelle Hopwood Cleveland of Southside; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Taylor Ardmore Funeral Home in Atmore. Services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church building fund, P.O. Box 1628, Bay Minette, Al. 36507. Arrangements by Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.
