UNION SPRINGS, Ala., June 11.--Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Cogdell announce the engagement of their daughter, Lena, to Mr. John Frank Bickerstaff. The marriage will take place on the evening of Wednesday, June 17 at their home, Inverness, Ala.

Many friends will be interested in the above announcement. Miss Cogdell is a young girl of exceptional charm and possesses a sweet unselfish nature which has drawn about her many friends. In addition, she is a talented musician. Mr. Bickerstaff is one of Hatchechubbee's successful business men and has a host of friends who congratulate him heartily. Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. Bickerstaff and his bride will leave for a wedding trip for eastern points.

ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED.
Wedding Will Occur In Union Springs Early in June.

Union Springs, May 9.--(Special)--Mr. and Mrs. James Hendricks today announced the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Noble, to William Walton Rainer, Jr., the marriage to take place early in June at the Baptist Church. Thus will be united two of Union Spirngs most popular young people. The bride-to-be is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hendricks and is loved for her sweet, gracious manner. Mr. Rainer is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Rainer, and counts his friends by the score.
