BERMAN-COHN

The marriage of Miss Bessie Berman, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Berman, to Sam Cohn of Union Springs, Ala., was a pretty event on Thursday at the home of the bride's parents, 315 Adams street.

For the occasion, quantities of Southern smilax, palms and spring blossoms were used in decorating. The guests assembled in the music room, living room and parlor, and preceding the ceremony, a musical program was rendered by Mrs. Alex Kaufman, with violin obligato by Miss Sadie Jacobi, Miss Juliet Marcus sang sweetly, "The Sweetest Story Ever Told."

To the strains of the wedding march rendered by Mrs. Kaufman, the bridal party entered, the groom and his best man, I. S. Lurie, of Union Springs, coming first. Preceding the bride, was her maid of honor and her only attendant, Miss Margaret Cohen , of Union Springs, who wore a becoming afternoon gown of gray georgette crepe over jade, with accessories to match, and she carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas.

The bride and her father entered together. She wore a charming tailored suit of navy blue tricotine with accessories in gray; and carried a bride's bouquet of white roses showered with lilies of the valley and tied with white tulle. The ceremony was impressively performed by Dr. B. C. Ehrenreich .

Following the ceremony, and informal reception was held at the bride's home. They were received by Mrs. Berman, mother-of-the-bride. Mrs. I. S. Lurie, Mrs. M. Lurie, Mrs. M. Cohen, Miss Edith Kraselsky, Mrs. M. Rich and Mrs. S. Oatman. Throughout the evening fruit punch was served by Miss Lurie and Miss Rich , and a delicious plate luncheon, with an ice-course in pink and white, was served.

Later in the evening, the bride and groom left for a wedding trip to points in the north, including New York, Baltimore, Niagara Falls, and upon their return will be at home to their friends in Union Springs, Alabama.

BOSWELL-PRITCHETT.
Beautiful Wedding at Inverness Unites Popular Persons.

Union Springe. June l5- (Special)—A beautiful wedding occurred a few daye ago at lnverness when Miss Ina Pritchett was married to Mr. R. F. Boswell. The hall and parlor was prettily decorated in smilax and cut flowersand around the place where the bridal party stood palms and ferns were grouped making a beautiful background. Previous to the ceremony Miss Ruth Lovelace sung "Love Me And The World Is Mine.

To the strains of Mendelseohns' wedding march, played by Mrs. Darnell of Montgomery, the party entered. First came the Attendants, Misses Minnie Youngblood, Mamie Townsend, Florie Peacock of Troy, and Lois Pritchett of Union Springs, all wearing white lingerie dresses and carrying red carnations.

The bride's gown was of champagen chiffon taffeta and she carried white daisies and made a chaming picture as she entered with her maid of honor, Miss Alma Pritchett , who wore a white air line dress elaborately trimmed in lace and carried pink carnations.

They were met at the altar by the bridegroom and his best man, Mr. Bryant McLendon.

An elegant reception was tendered the party and friends at the home of the groom's father, Mr. J. E. Roswell . Few popular people are more popular or start life under brighter prospects. They were the recipients of many handsome presents.

HAYNES-CALDWELL.
Marriage of a Popular Young Couple at Union Springs.

Union Springs, Ala., April 11--(Special.)--Wednesday evening in the Presbyterian Church, Frank B. Haynes led to the marriage altar Miss Eva Caldwell. The church was beautifully decorated with palms, southern smilax and Easter lilies. Suspended over where the couple stood was a white and silver horseshoe, and from this hung a tiny slipper, which as the ceremony closed showered upon them fragrant orange blossoms. Previous to the ceremony the following musical program was rendered.

Duet, "When Two Hearts Love," Mrs. Katherine McCall, Edgar McKay.

Solo, "For This," Mrs. E. L. Blue.

Solo, "Couldn't Thou But Know How Much I Love Thee," Mr. McKay.

The bridal chorus was sung and the bridal party entered, coming down both aisles crossing over and facing the audience.

They were Miss Neil Murphy of Troy and Miss Meta Haynes, Ed Branch of Montgomery and Sam Caldwell; Miss Ruth Fuller of Montgomery and Miss Claude Edwards, Bennie Powell, Dr. C. H. Franklin, Cecil B. Cowan.

The matron of honor Mrs. Cecil B. Cowan entered down the middle aisle. She was followed by the bride with her sister, and maid of honor, Miss Maggie Caldwell, and were met at the altar by the groom and his best man, Charlie Haynes, who had entered from the side door, and here while music was softly playing the hearts of these two were made on in impressive words by Rev. R. I. Bell. Lohengrin's bridal chorus was sung as the party left the church. The girl attendants were all attired in white air line costumes and carried white carnations. The matron of honor carried pink roses and the maid of honor white roses. The bride wore a princess dress of white silk trimmed in Duchess lace and carried Easter lilies. The young men were in evening dress.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Caldwell and is a most beautiful young woman, loved for her rare qualities of both heart and mind. The groom is editor of The Herald, and enjoys and esteem of the entire town and the friendship of many warm personal friends. Mr. and Mrs. Haynes are at home with the groom's mother, Mrs. C. H. Haynes.

Thursday evening the members of the Bienville Club will tender a reception to Mrs. C. B. Cowan and Mrs. Frank B. Haynes, recent brides of two of the most popular club members. The affair will be one of great social distinction, over 200 invitations having been issued.
