M. "TYE" C. OSBURN, COLONEL
Death -- Col. M. C. Osborn familiarly known
to many in Brown county as "Tye" Osborn, died at his home in Heflin,
Ala., June 5, of paralysis, with which he was stricken May 27. Col.
Osborn was a nephew of Governor Tom Corwin of Ohio, and gained the title
of colonel in the 119th Illinois regiment, which he commanded. He was
United States marshal at Heflin and was engaged in mining, being the
sole proprietor of a large copper mine. This brief notice of his death
will be read with sorrow by his friends in this county.
