BROWN, MRS. LULA MALLARD (PATTERSON)

BROWN, Mrs. Lula Mallard (PATTERSON), 85 904 Central Avenue, died at a local hospital Saturday, 7:45am after an extended illness.  Survivors, husband, James V Brown, sons, Cecil Patterson, Bessemer, Walter Patterson, Trafford, Johnny Patterson, Douglasville, GA, Richard Patterson, Powder Springs, GA., Harold Patterson, Gadsden, daughters, Mrs Jessie Whitmore, Mrs Pearl Clark and Mrs Novella Durham, all of Gadsden.  Mrs Jewel Hickey, Attalla, Mrs Florence Riddlespurge, Bessemer, Mrs Parlee Powerll, McKinney, Texas, sister, Mrs Stella Walden, Douglasville, GA., 35 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be tomorrow 1:30pm at Collier Butler Chapel with the Rev. Raymond F feltman officiating.  Burial in Altoona -Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers, Dr. Hoyt G Lumpkin and employees of McGuffey Nursing Home. Mrs Brown was a native of Tennessee and a resident of Etowah County for the past year. She was a member of the Church of God. The body will remain at Collier-Bulter Parlors through the hour of service.


CLEVENGER, MARY ELLEN

Mary Ellen Clevenger, 90, Altoona, died November 13 1979, in Altoona Nursing Home.  A native of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Mrs Clevnger had lived in Altoona for 66 years and was a member of Altoona Second Baptist Church.  She was the wife of Thomas Clevenger, who died April 12 1943. Surviving are son Wilburn E Clevenger of Bessemer; nine grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren. The funeral was held at Altoona Second Baptist Church November 16, Reb JD Brown officiating.  Interment was at Altoona-Walnut Grove Cemetery, with grandsons and great-grandson serving as pallbearers, Lemley in charge.


CLEVENGER, THOMAS MARION

CLEVENGER RITES SET WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for Thomas Marion Clevenger, 62, who died early yesterday morning at his home in Altoona, will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the First Baptist Church of Altoona, the Reverend Wallace, pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Woodcliff directing. -  Mr Clevenger was a native of Tennessee, but had lived in Altoona for the past 20 years.  Until his retirement, necessitated by illness, he had been employed as a carpenter by Republic Steel.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altoona.


DURHAM, MRS. NOVELLA MAE (PATTERSON)

PATTERSON, R. L.

R. L. Patterson passes at 83. Robert Lee Patterson, 83, died early this  morning at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Fred Buchanan, Alabama  City, after an illness of a month. Mr. Patterson, a former resident  of Altoona had lived in Alabama City for the past year. He was a  member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and a Baptist by faith. He is  survived by 2 sons Fred S. Patterson of Altoona and Wesley Patterson  of Bessemer and one daughter. Mrs Mae Collins of Brookside: 30  grandchildren and 16 g grandchildren. Funeral services will be held  at the Alabama City Church of God Saturday morning at 10'O'clock with the  Rev. L.H. Aultman, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in  Walnut Grove Cemetery directed by Brown-Service. Members of the Old  Fellow Lodge will serve as active pallbearers.


RIDLESPURGE, MRS. FLORENCE (PATTERSON)

WILSON, GEORGE LEE

George Lee Wilson, 72, 10 Comnock Avenue, passed away in a Birmingham Hospital Wednesday a.m.  Funeral services will be Friday 1230pm from Collier-Butler Chapel with Revs E.C. Houston and Falton Howington officiating.  Interment Liberty Cemetery (near Dawson).  Survivors include his wife Mrs Rosa Mae Wilson, two daughters, Miss Jo Ann Wilson and Miss Diane Wilson, Gadsden, two sisters, Mrs Alma Westbrook, Dawson... (rest of obit was torn off)


WINDSOR, JAMES THOMAS

Obit: James Thomas (Jim Tom) Windsor, 75, Boaz Route Five, died today at 1:40 a.m. at his home following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Happy Hill Church with the Rev. Emory Pankey, the Rev. Jim Dixon and the Rev. W. D. Parrish officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Gillespie-Barksdale Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers will be Corby Fielder, Wilson Rogers, Roy Henry, Eulas Mashburn, Vernon Thrasher and Bill Stonicher.

Mr. Windsor was a retired farmer and a member of the Concord Primitive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hettie Freeman Windsor; two sons, Lester and Willard Windsor, both of Boaz, Route Five; three daughters, Mrs. Ivy Plunkett, Albertville, Route Two, Mrs. Mary Grace Kimberley, Boaz, Route Five, and Mrs. Lucille Blackmon, Orlando, Fla.; two granddaugthers; a brother, J. H. Windsor, Fort Payne; two half-brothers, Marcus Windsor, Gadsden and Herman Windsor, Morgan County and a half-sister.

WINDSOR, JOHN HENRY

Obit: BOAZ - John Henry Windsor, 86, died yesterday at the home of a niece, Mrs. Jesse Brown, Boaz, Route 3, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Concord Baptist Church, with the Revs. Russell Oaks and Arthur Davis officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Gillespie-Barksdale Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Vela Gary, Greenwood, SC; two half-brothers, Marcus Windsor, Gadsden, and Herman Windsor, Sommerville; a half-sister, Mrs. Zona WIndsor; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Windsor was a retired farmer. A member of Concord Baptist Church, he was a native of Marshall County.
