Years ago, a railroad engineer named Robert
Musgrove was engaged to be married to a lovely young woman.
Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly before his wedding. Not too long
afterward, the young bride-to-be disappeared.
Within a short time, visitors to
Robert's grave noticed an image appearing on the gravestone. The image
appeared to be the outline of a young woman in a bridal gown who seems
to be kneeling at the grave.
As the years passed, the image became
clearer and clearer until at last even her face could be seen. Some
who see this image are impressed by the sight, other say that it takes a
real imagination to see anything.
Note: The image in question is on the
spire that was once atop the marker, but has been removed and is sitting
beside it. There is a imperfection in the stone that could be an image
of a woman if seen at the right angle, but the stone is over 100
years old and time has taken it's toll on the marker.
