GERTRUDE S. PARKER
Sister Gertrude S. Parker was born March 17, 1888, to Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Parker. She became a member of Little Friendship P. B. Church in the early 30's. She was an active member, and was especially fond of working with the youth until illness prevented her from attending her duties. She departed this life March 29, 1975 at 9:30 P.M.
She leaves to mourn her passsing, a devoted friend, Mrs. Emma Harris, Pastor and Members, a host of other friends especially Mr. and Mrs. Stewart.
God saw the road was getting rough
The hills were hard to climb
He gently closed those loving eyes
And whispered "Peace be Thine."
The weary hours, the days of pain
The sleepless nights are passed
The ever patient worn out frame
Has found peace at last.Order of Service

Mrs. HENRY B. RAY
Funeral for Mrs. Henry B. Ray, 78, of Sylacauga, who died Tuesday, will be at 10 a.m. today at Mignon Baptist Church, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Carr Funeral Home Directing. She was a member of Mignon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School 45 years and was a charter member of the Sylacauga Garden Club. Survivors include her husband, Henry B. Ray; a son, Henry B. Ray, Jr., Birmingham; a daughter, Mrs. Laurie Reed, New York, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Pollard, Sylacauga, Mrs. Ona Dell Smith, Kossuth, Miss; two brothers, Edwin E. Pollard, Candor, N.C., and William Stark Pollard, Pine Bluff, Ark. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society or the Mignon Baptist Church.

Mrs. BETTY JOYCE RICH
Mrs. Betty Joyce Rich, 41, of 2205 Sixth Terrace North, who died Wednesday, was a Birmingham native. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown-Service, Norwood, with burial in Forest Hill. She is survived by her husband, James Rich; three sons, Thomas, Stanley and Roger Rich; three daughters, Sandra, Debbie, Connie and Theresa Rich; her mother, Mrs. Estelle Cunningham; a brother, Jimmy Jones, and three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Marion, Mrs. Fay Harper, and Mrs. Janice Dove, all of Birmingham.
