A p o first settled in 1910, and a station on the Alaska Northern Ry, now under U S government control, and on Kenai Lake at the mouth of Ptarmigan Creek, 23-1/2 miles n of Seward, the nearest banking point. Contains a roadhouse, saw mill and grocery store. Seward Light & Power Co telephone service.
