C.A. "Toppy" LaCotts Sr., 85, of DeWitt, died June 12. He was a retired mechanic and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae La-Cotts; his parents, Alvin LaCotts and Dewey Vansandt LaCotts Johnson and his stepfather, Hiram Johnson.
Survivors include one son, Top-py Pat LaCotts Jr., of Stuttgart; one sister, Shirley Johnson Ried of Little Rock; one granddaughter, Vicki Baker, and her husband, Steve, of Stuttgart; one great-granddaughter, Tiffany Riddell; and his best friend, Dorothy Stillwell of DeWitt.
Funeral services were held June 15 at Essex Funeral Home Chapel with burial in DeWitt Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.

Mickye Delores Lamb, 57, of DeWitt, died June 12 at DeWitt Nursing Home. She was a retired correctional officer with the Mississippi Department of Corrections. She was born Sept. 8, 1947, in Lake Village to Raymond and Mary Delaney Jones, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Kristie Williams and her husband, Heath, of DeWitt; one son, Dean Lamb and his wife, Kim, of Rosedale, MS; and four grandchildren, Jordan Currie and Baylee Currie of DeWitt and Hunter Lamb and Lauren Lamb of Rosedale, MS.
Graveside services were held June 14 at Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, MS, with Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt in charge.
