Services Saturday for Mrs. Mattmiller
Gillett – Her eight daughters, six of whom are still living, called her “Mammy” and all her friends did too.  Even persons who were the same age as Mrs. Ida Trimble-Mattmiller took up the name.  It just fit the likeable sort of personality which Mrs. Mattmiller possessed.
Mrs. Mattmiller passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lewing, in Memphis, Tuesday, April 14.
Left a widow 31 years ago she reared her children on the farm at Gillett and in Stuttgart.  A native of Honey Grove, Texas, she moved to Arkansas at the age of 22, shortly before her marriage, and lived here until recent years, when she made her home with relatives.  She was a member of the Secon Church of Christ, Scientist.
Besides Mrs. Lewing, she leave five other daughters, Mrs. A. H. Allen of Conway, Mrs. E. J. Potter and Mrs. T. C. Gray of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Arnold Katz of Boston, Mass., Mrs. H. E. Shumaker of Alexandria, LA., and her sister, Mrs. H. G. Wynn of Hugo, Okla.
Funeral services and burial took place at the Gillett cemetery Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Maugans of Almyra Dies
Mrs. Laura Maugans of Almyra died Thursday April 16.  She was a native of Deleware, Ohio, having been born there in 1868.  Mrs. Maugans came to Arkansas 29 years ago and had resided in the state since that time.
She is survived by her husband, Wray Maugans, a daughter, Miss Belle Maugans, and a son, Hampton Maugans.
Funeral Services were held at the Lutheran church in Stuttgart Friday afternoon, the Rev. Burnthall in charge, and interment was in the Lone Tree cemetery.

Elizabeth Mayfield, 82, of Stuttgart, died June 12 at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 11, 1922. She was preceded in death by her husband, Madison Mayfield, Sr.
Funeral services will be held June 16 at 11:30 a.m. at Gunn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Morning Glory Cemetery in DeWitt with Gunn Funeral Home of Stuttgart in charge of the service.

Hershall Harding McIntosh, 84, of DeWitt, died June 8 at DeWitt Hospital. He was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Des Arc to Walter and Ada Wallace McIntosh. He was a machinist and mechanic for Fair-banks and Morse Co. and a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled Veterans of America. He was preceded in death by one son, Walter Eugene McIntosh.
Survivors include his wife, Den-cie Weatherley McIntosh; four daughters, Karen Pryor and her husband, Larry, of Little Rock, Rose Mary Gordon and her husband, Don, of Almyra, Debbie Rollison of DeWitt and Sherry Boyd and her husband, Jimmy, of DeWitt; one brother, Denzil McIntosh of Stuttgart; one sister, Marjory Cunningham of Texark-ana, AR; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 10 at Essex Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services were at Welcome Home Cemetery in Des Arc with Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt in charge.
Memorials may be made to DeWitt Hospital or Welcome Home Cemetery.

Julia Faye Morgan, 44, of De-Witt, died June 9. She had worked in sales and attended the Nady Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Morgan of DeWitt; her parents, James and Velma Jean Williams of Nady; two brothers, J.W. Williams Jr., and Gary Williams of Tichnor; two sisters, Lila Williams of DeWitt and Janet Lamp-kin of Bryant; and her mother-in-law, Janet Morgan, of DeWitt.
Funeral services were held June 11 at Essex Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Wallace-Menard Cemetery in Nady by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.
