MORLEY, MO - ANNABELL HAGAR, 88, died at 1:31 p.m. Oct. 12, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 5, 1913, in Biggers, Ark., son of the late Thomas Newton "T.N." and Lydia Davidson Hagar, she had been a waitress for the Morley Cafe and was a bookkeeper for Hagar-Holland Bookkeeping in Morley. She was a member of the Morley Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three brothers, Raymond Hagar of Prather, Calif., Dewey Hagar of Edwards, Miss., and Roy Hagar of Petaluma, Calif.; and two sisters, Ethel Dalton of Gatewood and Lola Mae Holland of Morley.
Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Jack Bishop and the Rev. Rodney Davis will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

TAMMS, IL - MARIE HAZELWOOD, 98, of Manhattan, formerly of Tamms, died Wed-nesday, Jan. 20, 2010, in Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
She was born Feb. 7, 1911, in Clay County, Ark., to Silas and Clara (Stagner) Rogers.
She married Clifford Hazelwood on March 10, 1979. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1992.
Marie was a member of Elco Methodist Church and Happy Hours Senior Citizens.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise (Robert) Watson of Manhattan and Laneta (John) Pettit of Alton; two sons, Clifton Lawrence of Madison, Ind., and H.C. (Elizabeth) Lawrence of Anna; three stepdaughters, Emma Dell (Charlie) Bennett of Tamms, Shirley Jane Hamilton of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Sammy (Dennis) Thompson of Affton, Mo.; two stepsons, Perry (Carmella) Hazelwood of Elco and Melvin (Joyce) Hazelwood of Fordyce, Ark.; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Roberta Eickelman; one son, J. L. Lawrence; one daughter-in-law, Glenda Lawrence; two sisters; five brothers; and two great-grandchildren.
Services for Marie Hazelwood will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, in Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Rob Grief officiating. Interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery (near Dongola, IL). Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Elco Methodist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Crain Funeral Home in Tamms is in charge of arrangements.

CORNING -- WAYNE HINES, 31, of Corning died at Currentview. Born in St. Louis, he was a general construction laborer and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Hines of Salem, Ill.; two stepsons; two sisters, Rebecca Brown of Dallas and Tonda Hovis of Success; and his grandparents, H.J. and Nina Jones of Corning.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Hines.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ermert Funeral Home chapel in Corning, with the Rev. Jerry Arnold officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

MORLEY, MO--BESSIE HODGE, 89, of Morley, MO, formerly of Pollard, AR, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.  She was born Dec. 5, 1917 in Pollard, daughter of Luther Edgar and Tinna Elizabeth Pollard Evans.  She and Jessie Leeman Hodge were married July 3, 1933.  Survivors include a son, Dairel Hodge of Oran, MO; a daughter, Betty Banks of Morley; a brother, Eugene Evans; two sisters, Louise Cooper and Darlene Potts; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, four brother and a sister.  Friends may call at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007 at Hoggard and Sons chapel in Pollard.  Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.  Brian Flannigan will officiate, with burial in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard.


DYER, TN - ZELMA MILDRED HOGG, 73, of Dyer, formerly of Clay County, Ark., died Saturday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at McDaniel Funeral Services in Kennett, Mo. with burial in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hogg, wife of Herbert O. Hogg, also leaves two daughters, Mary Sue Hogg of Memphis and Dottie White of Trenton; two sons, Leon Hogg of Smyrna (TN) and Jimmy Hogg of Jonesboro, Ark.; four sisters, Evelyn Newsom of Peach Orchard, Mo., Frances Reese of St. Louis, Dona Curtis of Paragould, Ark., and Laura Miller of Danville, Ark., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

ABINGDON, ILL -- GERTRUDE I. HOWERTON, 75, of 106 Givens St., died at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 1992, at her home.
Born Sept. 2, 1917, in Clay County, Ark., to Ross and Audie Poyner Boshears, she married the Rev. Walter B. Howerton on July 17, 1937, in Corning, Ark. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, James R. of Portland, Ore.; three brothers, Raymond Boshears of Corning, Glen Boshears of Norfolk, Va., and Billy Boshears of Sikeston, Mo.; two sisters, Modean O'Bryant of Jacksonville, Ark., and Betty Clark of Corning; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One son, Billy Wayne, and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Abingdon.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson- West Chapel in Galesburg, (IL). Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
