Three are Dead

 

MORRILTON, Ark., Dec. 3, (AP)

Collision of an automobile and a Missouri Pacific bus on the outskirts of Morrilton late last night brought death to three youths who were riding in the car.

Joe Parker, 15, and Gordon Flagg, 16, both of Morrilton were killed instantly.  James Carroll, 16, of Springfield, Conway County, who was driving, died this morning in a Morrilton Hospital.

ARMY FLIER IS KILLED NEAR BRINKLEY
An Army flier was killed Tuesday when his P-38 pursuit plane crashed and burst into flames near Brinkley.  The flier was identified as Lieut. J. C. Cunningham, 25, of Morrilton, Ark.  The plane carried no other persons.  Cause of the crash has not been determined.

Fort Smith, AR--Mrs. Mollie DAVIS, age 27, of Fort Smith, died July 25, 1925 in Fort Smith.  She was born in 1898 at Morrilton, AR the daughter of Rube Mc Clendon and Emma Tucker.  Burial was in Morrilton.

FARMER, Grant B., age 44, died June 22, 1893.  He was born in 1849.  He leaves a wife.  Burial was in Conway.  --Arkansas Deaths and Burials, 1882-1929.

J. J. MC CAULEY of Morrilton, age 46, died 29 April 1901 in Morrilton.  He was born in 1855.  Burial was in Ft. Smith.  --Arkansas Deaths and Burials, 1882-1929.

Single Casket For 10 Members of Family

 

MORRILTON, Ark. (AP) - A single casket bearing the remains of the 10 members of the Andrew Paladino will be carried into St. Joseph's Catholic church today for funeral services.

Paladino, his wife and eight children died in a fire that destroyed their rambling farm home while they slept early Monday.  The cause of the fire is unknown.

The Paladinos were leaders in their community.  In 1958 they were named Conway County farm family of the year.

Mr. and Mrs. Paladino were 40.  Their children were Phillip, 12, Davis, 11, Beverly, 10, Daniel, 9, Carolyn, 8, Ralph, 6, Jan 5 and Terry 3.

GEORGE M. PARKER, 33, died February 1, 1929 in Fort Smith.  He was born in Arkansas in 1896, the son of Frank Davis and Mattie Parker.  Burial was in Morrilton.  --Arkansas Deaths and Burials, 1882-1929.

NATHANIEL PARKER, age 1, son of Smith Parker and Martha J. L. Williams, of Fort Smith, died Dec 21, 1905 in Ft. Smith.  He was born in Conway County in 1904.  Burial was in Nowland Springs.

JOHN HENRY ROBINSON, age 32, died May 18, 1948 in Fort Smith, AR.  He was born in1916 and was divorced.  Burial was in Blackwell, Conway County, Arkansas.  --Arkansas Deaths and Burials, 1882-1929.

JOHN SHEARNS, son of John and Johanna Shearns, was born in 1902 in Conway County and died 03 Aug 1902 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Burial was in Conway County.  --Arkansas Deaths and Burials, 1882-1929.

ELMER STRICKLEN, 14, died July 10, 1913 in Ft. Smith, AR.  He was born in 1899 in Arkansas, the son of R. H. & Fannie Glover Stricklen.  Burial was in Conway County.  --Arkansas Deaths and Burials, 1882-1929.


THURMAN, Columbia, age 10, daughter of Joseph and Martha Berry Thurman, died 13 May 1911 in Ft. Smith, AR.  She was a resident of Ft. Smith, but was born in 1901 in Conway.  --Arkansas Deaths and Burials, 1882-1929.
