Town of Morrilton
Now on this day comes W.L. Moose Esq. and files in court a petition signed by sixty-five resident citizens of Morrilton in said Conway County praying for an order of this court to incorporate said town, and this cause is set for hearing on the 10th day of November 1879 at the court house in the town of Lewisburg. Petitioners are required to have said application advertised according to law.

Notice is hereby given that a petition has been presented to the County Court to have the NE ¼ and the E ½ of the NW fractional ¼ of section 19 township 6 North of Range 16 West incorporated into a town. Corporation to be known as the Incorporated Town of Morrilton. And Monday the tenth of November 1879 and the Court House in Lewisburg have been designated as the time and place of hearing the cause.

In the matter of the incorporation of the town of Morrilton.
Now on this 10th day of November 1879 comes on this cause to be heard. It appearing to the court that legal notice has been given of the time and place of the hearing of this cause and that at least twenty qualified voters reside therein or within the limits described, by said petition, and that said petition has been signed by them, that said limits have been accurately described, and an accurate map or plat thereof made and filed and the name proposed for said town being proper and sufficient to distinguish it from others of like kind in the state and no objections having been filed to said application.
This therefore considered and ordered by the court that the prayer of said petition be granted and that said town be organized into an incorporation, so named and described in the said petition.

To the Conway County Court:
Your petitioner inhabitants of the territory described as the west half of the north east quarter and the east half of the NW fractional quarter of section nineteen (19) township six (6) north of range sixteen (16) west, all in Conway County Arkansas, and on which the town of Morrilton is now situated, a plat of which is now on file in the clerks office, respectfully pray that the said territory be organized and incorporated into a town corporation to be known as the Incorporated town of Morrilton, and that the same be vested with all the rights and privileges which under the law belong to incorporated towns.
And we hereby designate William L. Moose as the person to act for us in the prosecution of this petition.

Conlee, Clerk of the County Court of said county do hereby certify that the above and foregoing contains a true, perfect, and complete transcript of the petition, proof of publication, plat and the orders of said court in the matter of the incorporation of the town of Morrilton in said county as the same appears on file and of record in my office.
