GLENDA
STEELE DAVIDSON
Jonesboro, AR.--Glenda Davidson, 72,
died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 in Jonesboro. She was born Dec. 27, 1935 at
Clover Bend, AR to Sid and Christina Golden Steele. She was united in
marriage to Jim Davidson Dec. 3, 1983. Glenda was traffic manager where
she supervised shipping, receiving, warehousing and inventory at Frolic
Footwear in Jonesboro for 28 years, retiring nine years ago. Survivors
include her husband, Jim Davidson; two daughters, Wendy Chambers and
husband, Jimmy of Jonesboro, Melinda Dodd and husband, John of Scott
City, MO; three sons, Byron Blanchard of Walnut Ridge, AR, Jamie
Davidson and wife, Penny and Greg Davidson and wife, Becky of Scott
City, MO; grandchildren, J. R., Jake and Julie Chambers of Jonesboro,
Mica Blanchard of Conway, AR, and 10 other grandchildren; a
great-grandchild; three sisters, Freda Phillips of Marion, IL, Carol
Gray of Houston, TX, Peggy McMillon of Portia, AR; a brother, Darrel
Steele of Clover Bend; and many relatives and friends. Glenda was
preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Louetta Phillips. A
graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Feb. 22, 2007) at
Strangers Home Cemetery near Alicia, AR, with the Rev. Bob McMillon
officiating. Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro is in charge of
arrangements.
JUANITA DANZEL DAVIS
Jonesboro, AR--Juanita Danzel Davis,
63, of
Jonesboro died Saturday, May 10 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in the
Jonesboro area. She was of the interdenominational belief.
Survivors include three sons, Steven Davis of Cherokee
Village, Randy Davis and Kendal Davis, both of Jonesboro; two
daughters, Kimberley Davis and Katherine Davis, both of Jonesboro; four
brothers, Melvin Wilcockson of Texas, Jerry Veal and Terry Veal, both
of Jonesboro; Frank Willcockson of West Monroe, LA; four sisters, Kay
Morrison of Jonesboro, Diane Bosche of New Mexico; Debra and Mary
Willcockson of West Monroe; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
All services will be private and are under the direction of Emerson
Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park
Cemetery.

TALMADGE DAVIS
Bay, AR--Talmadge
"509" Davis, 71,
of Bay died Sunday, Sept. 21, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Born in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., he had lived in Manila and
Jonesboro
before moving to Bay. He was a former member of the Lions
Club
and operated a concession stand at the Craighead County Courthouse for
31 years.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Newsom Davis of the home; five sons,
Randy Davis, Steven Davis and Kendall Davis, all of Paragould, David
Davis and Christopher Davis, both of the home; three daughters, Kathy
Gonzales and Tammy Davis both of Jonesboro, and Samantha Davis of the
home; a stepdaughter, Michelle Brown of Bay; three brothers, James
Davis of Winter Haven, Fla., Charles Davis of Texarkana, Texas, and
Larry Davis of Manila; a sister, Jan Brock of Cleveland, Miss.; 16
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Emerson Funeral
Home Memorial Chapel, with Wilburn Brock and Marvin Rickett
officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Harrington, Kenneth Baxter, Raymond Baxter,
Cecil Daniels, Ronald Brown and Matt May.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A. J. DAY
DIED AT LAKE CITY--A.J. Day of Indiana, Died While on a Visit to his Son, of Old Age--
A.J. Day, father of Jack Day of Lake City, died at that place last
night of old age. He was a native of Indiana and had come to Lake City
to visit his son, when he was taken ill and died. He had been in this
country for about three weeks. His son is in the employ of the Lake
City Mercantile Company.
Undertaker Gregg was called to Lake City and will embalm the body, and ship it to his home in Indiana for interment.
