MALLARD JAMES,
infant son of
Brastain James and Abby Gamble, died Friday, May 9, (2008) at NEA
Baptist Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his parents;
twin
brother, Gunner Gage James; paternal grandparents, Robert Nelson and
Melissa McKinley, both of Caraway, John and Kimberly James of Monette;
maternal grandparents, Michael and Vicki Gamble of Manila, Ginger and
Josh Milligan of Caraway; great-grandparents, Richard and Louise George
of Poughkeepsie, Joe and Roy Tipton of Caraway. His
great-grandfather, Dub Tipton and great-grandmother, Peggy George,
preceded him in death. Graveside services will be this
afternoon
at 2 in Caraway Cemetery with Joe Ellis officiating. BROOKLAND -- EILEEN MAE DUSH JOHNSTON, 78, of Brookland died Sunday, Dec. 29, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Born in Decatur, Ill., she had lived in Brookland 14 years and was
formerly of San Antonio. She was a member of Brookland Baptist Church
and had worked in retail sales.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Johnston of the home; a son,
David Evans of Peoria, Ill.; a stepson, Robert Johnston Jr. of San
Antonio; a daughter, Paula Evans of San Antonio; a stepdaughter, Penny
Nill of Pearland, Texas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday at Pine Log
United Methodist Church, with Dr. Mike Montalbano officiating. Burial
will follow at Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland under the direction of
Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Friday until service time at the church.
