& Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hicks Cemetery, Benton, Ark.

Mrs. Colebar was born in Benton, Ark., on Dec. 24, 1904, the daughter of Will and Leona Thompson Howard. She was retired from the Citizens Building housekeeping department. She married Anthony W. Colebar in Benton, Ark., in 1928. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1977. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth and Howard, both of Decatur; Clayton of Latham; daughters, Mrs. Richard (Leona) Kemball-Cook of Houston, Texas; Elaine Cavanaugh of Decatur; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Ark., and Angela of Kansas; and three half-brothers, Robert Suitor of
Dollarway, Ark., Todd Smith of Benton, Ark., and Thomas Jerald Jr. of

![]() CANTRALL, IL--ROBBIE ANN HALL, 52, of Cantrall died Thursday at her residence.
She was born Nov. 23, 1944, in Benton, Ark., the daughter of Robert and Ann Sluder. She married Charles Hall in Ocean Springs, Miss., in 1986. Mrs. Hall was a member of Athens Christian Church and had been affiliated with Cantrall United Methodist Church. She was a longtime standing member of the Bible Study Group in Ocean Springs, Miss., and also was a member of the Ocean Springs TOPS group. Survivors: husband, Charles W. Hall; a son, Sam Vandergrift of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Lisa Vandergrift of California, and Diane Bishop of Pascagoula, Miss.; a stepson, Alan Hall of Springfield; a stepdaughter, Heather Hall of Springfield; seven grandchildren; mother, Ann Sluder of Benton, Ark.; and a brother, James Sluder of Benton, Ark. Mrs. James died Thursday, Aug. 31, 1995, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Ark. She was born Nov. 21, 1902, in Vinland, the daughter of Youdon and Jennie Louise Piper Eckman. She was a homemaker and taught at Harmony School in Douglas County. She did missionary work, making bandages and children's garments for Africa. She also made bibs and lap robes for rest homes in Lawrence. She was a member of the Lawrence Free Methodist Church. She married Clarence William James on Jan. 27, 1926. He died Feb. 23, 1969. Survivors include three daughters, Emma Louise Brunelle, Alamo, Tex., Marjorie Marie Dixon, Benton, Ark., and Ruby L. Eccles, Plainfield, Ind.; two brothers, Francis Olof Eckman and Edward Eckman, both of Baldwin; two sisters, Esther McTaggert and Mabel I. Eckman Steele, both of Lawrence; 15 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter. Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, where the family will meet with friends. A 30-year Medford resident, Mrs. Korejko was a cafeteria employee for the Medford Board of Education for 15 years. She was a founding member of St. Mary of the Lakes Roman Catholic Church, Medford. She was born in Philadelphia. Survivors: her husband, Paul; four sons, Paul of Medford, Nicholas of Vermont, Henry of Alexander, Ark., and Robert of Benton, Ark.; a daughter, Margaret Bryson of Benton, Ark.; a brother, James McFate of Colorado, and two sisters, Mary and Peggy D'Antonio, both of Philadelphia. LYONS: Lyons was teacher, then travel operator--
After fulling a dream of teaching, Billie F. Lyons made another dream come true -traveling the world. She operated Adventure Cruise and Travel since 1986. "She retired and decided she wanted to travel the world, and she did get to go everywhere," said a daughter, Gaye Moses of San Antonio. Lyons, 66, died Friday. Born in Little Rock, Ark., she grew up there and received her teaching certificate from Arkansas State Teachers' College. She met and married Tom W. Lyons in Arkansas before moving to Harlingen, where she completed her bachelor's degree and started teaching in the Rio Grande Valley, her daughter said. "She taught the underprivileged children there," Moses said. They moved to San Antonio and Lyons completed her master's degree. "She was very interested in education and continued to educate herself," Moses said. Lyons then accepted a teaching job in the Edgewood School District as a reading specialist, her daughter said. She retired after about 15 years with the district. Between juggling the travel agency and the trips that accompanied it, Lyons competed in ballroom dance competitions, her daughter said. "She loved to dance." Additional survivors include her husband; a daughter, Joy Hooker of Carthage; a sister, Lucille Goss of Little Rock, Ark.; and four grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel at Sunset Funeral Home with Darwin L. Huartson officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Pinecrest Cemetery in Saline County, Ark. --San Antonio Express-News (TX) - August 28, 1994 ![]() PEKIN, IL -- EDWIN DALTON NEWCOMB, 77, of 13970 Glenmar Drive died at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, in the emergency room at Pekin Hospital. Born June 30, 1922, in Saline County, Ark., to Ithamar Pebble and Cora Evelyn Masoner Newcomb, he married Pearl Frances Hart on Jan. 16, 1947, in Charleston, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are four sons, Steve (Becky), Larry and Melvin, all of Pekin, and Phillip (Margaret) of Colona; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Florence) McClure of Pekin and Marilyn Newcomb of Chicago; two sisters, Lula "Babe" Watson of Vidalia, La., and LaNelle McGraw of Campbell, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Five brothers, one sister and one grandson preceded him in death. He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 29 years, retiring in 1982 as a machinist in the tool room of Building HH in East Peoria. He later was a rural carrier for the Journal Star on Sundays for 13 years, last working in June. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. H. Gerald Rudd will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 711 W. 78, of Little Rock, formerly of Memphis, retired vice president and
state manager for Farm Bureau Insurance Co., died of myocardial
infarction Tuesday at his home.
Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth in Little Rock with burial in Pinecrest Cemetery in Saline County, Ark. He was a graduate of the old Southern University of Law in Memphis, a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church and Pleasant Valley Country Club. He served as a major in the 3rd Division of the Fourth Marine Corps during World War II, and was awarded three Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with three stars. Mr. Owens, the husband of May Lane Owens, also leaves a daughter, Lane Harvey of Milwaukee, Wis.; a son, Robert W.
