ASH FLAT, ARK–NAOLA JANE
CASEY, 84, of Ash Flat, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at White River
Medical Center in Batesville. She was born April 26, 1917 at Ash Flat,
to Charles L. and Sarah Jane (Crouch) Moody. She owned and operated
Naola's Dress Shop at Ash Flat for many years and was of the Baptist
faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Thestle Casey Talley of Ash Flat,
Emmaline Casey Kunkel of Evening Shade, Ark., and Edna Casey Keller of
Cave City, Ark., two brothers, Coolidge Crouch of O'Fallon, Mo.,
Colbert Crouch of Cave City; five grandchildren, John Phil Talley of
Fort Worth, Texas, Tammy Talley of Ash Flat, Alan Keller of Memphis,
Tenn., Jackie Keller Price and John Kunkel both of Lowell, Ark.; nine
step-grandchildren, Thurman Casey, Sam Casey, Judy Casey Humphrey,
Floyd Casey, J. R. Casey, Wanda Lee Casey Girtman, Cordell Casey,
Donald Ray Casey, Margaret Casey West; two great-grandchildren, Nathan
Price and Sarah Price; several step-great grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John F. Casey,
two stepson, Henry Devine Casey and, Roosevelt Casey, five brothers,
Reeder Moody, Dwight L. Moody, John Newton Moody, Robert M. Crouch and
one infant brother; two sisters, Leota Crouch Farris, and Myrtle Crouch
Reed.
Services were Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral
Home Chapel in Cave City with Jack Richardson officiating. Burial was
in the Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat with arrangements under the direction
of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Jerry Humphrey, Bobbie Moody, Christopher Wilkerson,
Jesse Qualls, James Humphrey, Jason Qualls, and John Berryhill.

JOSEPH ANDREW CLARKE
WILLIFORD, ARK–JOSEPH ANDREW
CLARKE, 81, of Williford, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001 at his home. He
was born on Feb. 7, 1920 in Hardy, Ark., the son of Mary (Rudisaile)
Clarke and Edmund Clarke.
He was a farmer, carpenter, Kamp Kia Kima Boy Scout Ranger (14 years),
Green Thumb at Williford School (8 years), Veteran of U.S. Army awarded
Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster with valor,
Korean War service medal; served during World War II and the Korean
War, Elder of Ward Street Church of Christ for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Essie Pearl Clarke of Williford; one son,
Thomas Clarke of Englewood, Colo.; one daughter, Sharron Nancy Osburn
of Colorado Springs, Colo; two brothers, Ervin Clarke of Lexa, Ark.,
and Paul Clarke of West Plains, Mo.; and two sisters. Rose Edna French
of Mammoth Spring; and Catherine Russell of Hardy; seven grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Charles, Byron,
William (Bill), and Ronald Clarke; and one sister, Rachel Johnson.
Services were Monday, Jan. 31, 2001 at the Ward Street Church of Christ
at 10 a.m. with Bro. Tom O'Neal and Tom Clarke officiating. Burial was
at Highland Cemetery at Highland with arrangements under the direction
of Heath Funeral Home, Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy, Ark.
Pallbearers were Steve Clarke, Allen Clarke, Wayne French, James
French, Lowell French, Kevin Ozburn. Honorary pallbearers were Bob
Slayton and Jim

RAYMOND E. CLINTON, 56, Cherokee
Village, AR, died Thursday, September 21, 1995, at Baptist Memorial
Hospital in Cherokee Village, AR. Funeral services will be 11 a.m.
Monday, September 25, at Spring River Presbyterian Church, Hardy, AR,
with Rev. Norman Fedderly officiating. Graveside services will be 10
a.m. Tuesday, September 26, at Oaklawn Cemetery, Olathe, KS.

ELMER RAY CLOUSE
HARDY, ARK–ELMER RAY (FUDDY)
CLOUSE, 36, of Hardy, Ark., died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001 at the White
River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born March 6, 1954 in
Osceola, Ark., the son of Bertie (Walker) Clouse and Lloyd (Peewee)
Clouse of Hardy, Ark. He was a graduate of Highland High School and was
a truck driver.
Survivors include his parents, Lloyd and Bertie Clouse of Hardy; one
son, Nathaniel Clouse of Hardy; one daughter, Brittney Clouse of Hardy;
two brothers, Jimmy Clouse of Clarksville, Tenn., currently serving in
Pakistan with the Army; and Kenneth Clouse of Hardy; and his paternal
grandmother, Alma Davis of Hot Springs.
Services were Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Baker Cemetery
near Ozark Acres with Bro. Floyd Rikard officiating. Arrangements were
under the direction of Heath Funeral Home, Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy,
Ark.

BURL
CRABTREE
BURL CRABTREE, age 79, of Rockford, Ill.,
formally of Williford, Arkansas, died July 29 in Rockford
Hospital. He was born in ? 21, 1898 (month
unreadable in the obit), in Sharp Co., Ark, son of
Jackson and Ellen Crabtree.
He was a retired machine operator for Atwood V?
Machine Co. of Rockford. He was a member of the
Re-Organized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Crabtree of the home;
two sons, Marvin Crabtree of Hot Springs, Ark., and
William Crabree of Rockford, Ill.; a daughter Pearl
(Jones) of Rockford, Ill., a brother Andrew Crabtree of
Macon Georgia, six grandchildren, nine great
grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held August 2, 1977 at 10 AM in the
Higginbotham Chapel in Hardy, with Rev. O.J. ?
officiating. Burial will be in the Baker Cemetery
