PATRICK, JASPER N.
 Napa Pioneer Dead – Jasper N. Patrick, Former Napa Supervisor, Passes Away After Long Illness

NAPA (Napa Co.) April 23—Jasper N. Patrick, former Chairman of the Napa County Board of Supervisors, and a native of this city, died here today after an illness of four years’ duration. Deceased was born June 2, 1863. Patrick served two terms as Supervisor. He retired from politics in 1914. He was a well-known member of the Native Sons, Red Men, and Knights of Pythias. Deceased was interested in a large manufacturing plant in San Francisco. Surviving are three sons, Earle and Frank of Napa and Elmer of Walla Walla, Wash.; one daughter, Miss Frances Patrick of Napa; a brother, John Patrick of Sonora; and two sisters, Mrs. Arabelle Sherrod of Walla Walla and Mrs. Hattie Ellis of Idaho. The funeral will be held Wednesday.

TAPLIN, DANIEL OTIS, SR.
Napa Man Dies After Three Hour Illness

ST. HELENA (Napa Co.), April 25—Daniel O. Taplin, 72, son of earl settlers who came here in 1887, died in his home three hours after he was taken ill late Tuesday. Funeral services were held yesterday. Taplin was born on the old family ranch, which he and his brothers operated as a dairy until they sold it about three years ago. His father came across the plains in 1849, while his mother came to California by ship. Surviving is his widow, Charlotte A. Taplin of St. Helena; a son, Daniel O. Taplin, Jr. of Napa; a brother, John O. Taplin of St. Helena; and a sister, Mrs. Claya Mayfield of Napa. [Unknown newspaper, 4-25-1947. Submitted by Kathie Marynik.]


ZACHARONSKY, JOHANNA

(Napa Co.), April 23—Mrs. Johanna Zacharonsky, a well-known pioneer of this city and widow of the late Noah Zacharonsky, founder of a local wool and hide company, died here today at the age of 83 years. Deceased was a native of Prussia. Surviving are two sons, Abraham and Samuel Zacharonsky of Napa, and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Getz of San Francisco. The interment was held in San Francisco.
