druggists (opened first drug store in Sacramento. At this
time had three stores); Byington and company, wholesale
grocers; Prettyman and Barroll, auction house; Moddus and
Price, wholesale grocers.

Caldwell and company, cigars, wine and liquors; Alderman,
White, Whitman and company auction house; Barton and Boulden,

(three-story brick building); Fisk and Perkins, commission
