DIED

On Sunday last, 8th instant, in this place, James Frazier Pruet, aged one year and 11 months, youngest son of Thomas and Maryline Pruet, late from Oregon.

DIED

August 1st, of dysentery, Charles Mansfield, a native of New Haven. In the absence of his friends, his remains were respectably buried by Mr. Geo. W. Ryder.

At San Francisco, May 23, Henriette Eugenie, aged 28 years, daughter of J. C. Zimmerman, Esq., consul of the Netherlands at New York, and wife of Frank Ward, Esq. of San Francisco.

March 21, lat 1 south, log 57 west. Angels Schoonmaker, passenger in ship Sutton, a native of New York.

Drowned, July 10, at Mercedes’ Diggings, Upper Camp, California, Ambrose P. Sherman of Charlotte, Vt., aged 24 years.

At Coloma, on the 5th inst., after a few hours’ illness, Frederick Hampton, a native of Virginia, aged 23 years. The deceased is a nephew of C. E. Pickett, Esq. of this Territory.

At San Francisco, Aug. 26, of inflammation of the lungs, Giles Waldo, aged 34 years, and late US Vice Consul at the Sandwich Islands.

At Willow Grove at the residence of Mr. J. W. Whisman, Aug. 17, Mr. Jethro Hussey, aged about 42 years. Nantucket papers please copy.

On board the bark Olga from Mazatlan, Edward R. Bostwick formerly of New York, late of Quincy, Fla.

On board American bark Equator, Aug. 28, Albert Thomas, aged 42 years.

On the 4th inst., in Happy Valley, John Livingston of New York, late pilot out of New York Harbor.

On 16th inst., after an illness of two weeks of dysentery, Chester Ingersol of Vermont.

On 31st ult., of chronic diarrhea, Ithamar Whiting, late of Tepie, Mexico, aged 56.

DIED

On 3d Oct. at the Dry Diggings 3 miles north of Weavertown, Augustus Coriell, aged about 36 years. He came to his death by the accidental blowing up of a keg of powder. He was very badly burned on the face, hands and breast, and lived but 9 days after the accident. He was formerly from Dubuque, Iowa. Iowa papers please copy.

Oct. 7th at Sacramento Hospital, Sutter’s Fort, Mr. George Gaines of Portsmouth, NH, aged 42 years.

In this city Oct. 5, Mercill Webber of Boston, aged twenty-eight.

On board the steamer McKim on her passage from New Orleans to San Francisco, in latitude 10 North, Longitude 110 West, William L’Hommedieu of Mobile, Ala.

In Stockton on the 15th ult., Mr. Samuel O. Barker of Rhode Island. Mr. B. was 3d mate of the whaleship Tyber of Stonington, Connecticut, from which ship he got his discharge at the Sandwich Islands (after having cruised with and tilled her) and came to this country.

In Stockton on the 10th ult., Mr. Samuel S. Park, aged 28 years. Mr. P. was from Romney, Indiana, where he has a father, mother, brothers, and sisters living.

In San Francisco on Saturday, 27th October, Mr. John McCrackin, late of New York and formerly of Canada.

On the 6th inst., of consumption, Daniel P. Andrews, aged 22, late of Providence, R.I. Came as passenger in ship Hopewell.

In San Francisco on the 11th inst. after a long and painful illness, Mr. L. D. Ellis, late of New York, in the 26th year of his age.

In the same place on the 4th inst., of the prevailing diarrhea, Mrs. Emeline A. Lirrine in the 23d year of her age; a native of Suffield, Conn.

At San Francisco, Oct. 14, Alfred Lee Cornelius, aged 7 months and 11 days, youngest son of Jonathan and Sarah Griffith.

On the 21st inst., of bilious fever, J. K. Wing, aged 42, late of Albany.

In San Francisco on the 24th inst., William T. Hubbard, late of Springfield, Mass., aged 23 years.

In the same place, on the 17th inst., of consumption, Moses C. Wadhams, aged 20 years, late of Goshen, Conn.

On the 27th inst., Mrs. Maria Storer, aged 49 years, late of New York City.

In San Francisco, on the 13th December, John Holland Chace of Philadelphia, aged 27 years and nine months, son of John and Eliza S. Chace of Providence, R.I.

In San Francisco, 17th inst., of scurvy and bronchitis, Capt. Thomas C. May, aged about 27, formerly of Pittsburg, Pa.

On the morning of the 17th ult., Mary, wife of William F. Goode, 29.

In this city, on the 21st December, of typhoid fever, Mr. Horace R. Conant from Charlestown, Mass., aged 23 years. Vermont papers please copy.

In San Francisco, on the 18th instant, H. B. Evans, late of Boston, Mass., aged 35 years.

At San Francisco, on Saturday, the 22d inst., Thomas Goslin, formerly of Cininnati, Ohio. He was well known as one of the heroes during the war with Mexico as a non-commissioned officer of the late Capt. S. H. Walker’s company, Regiment Mounted Riflemen.
