ALLGOOD, Robert
March 20, 1925 - Jult 22, 2006
Robert Allgood, 81, of Lakeside died July 22. he was born in Salt Lake City,
Utah and was an engineer for the aerospace industry.
He served in the Army and was a member of the Boy scot troop 45 Scouting
Organization.
Survivers include his eife, Dorothy Allgood, daughters Anne Cox of Scio, Ore.,
sons Larry Allgood of San Bruno, John Allgood of Wilsonville Ore. and
David Farren of Santa Rosa. 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.
Survices: Graveside at Greenwood memorial Park, San Diego.
AUSTIN, Robert

Robert Emmett Austin, M.R.C., U.S.
Army, died in San Diego, Cal.,
November 13, aged 43, from septicemia.
Lieutenant
Austin was born in Carrollton, Mo., June 25,
1872, the son of Rev. Robert A. and Tillie E. Austin. His preliminary
education was received in the public schools of Carrollton,
Mo., and college at Fayette, Mo.
He graduated from the Missouri Medical College
in 1897 and practiced for a year in Carrollton
until the outbreak of the Spanish-American War, when he entered the army as
acting assistant surgeon. He accompanied the Tenth Cavalry to Cuba,
and after four years of active duty in Cuba and the withdrawal of the
troops of the Army of Occupation, he returned to Fort Robinson,
Neb., where he received his discharge. Lieutenant Austin
located in Kansas City; but as the cold was too rigorous he moved in
1906 to San Diego, Cal., where he
subsequently resided.
Lieutenant
Austin’s society affiliations included Fellowship in the American Medical
Association, membership in the Medical Society of the State of
California
and Missouri State Medical Association, American Toentgen Ray Society, Southern
California Medical Society and San Diego County Medical Society, of which he was
president. He was also president of the San Diego Board of Health and
Surgeon to the local camp of Spanish-American War veterans.
