was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church.

Vicente M. Gonzales, 79, of San Diego, died Sunday. Born in the Philippines and was a retired Army Lieutenant.
He served during WWII and was a member of the Vietnam Federation.
Survivors: wife, Emilia Gonzales; daughters Evangeline, Rebecca and Marie Gonzales, all of the Philippines; sons
Henry Gonzales of New Jersey and martin Gonzales of the United Arab Emirates;
one sister and several grandchildren.

GIFFORD, GENEVIEVE nee MOYNAHAN
Private services for Mrs. Genevieve Gifford, wife of Orville D. Gifford, president of the C. M. Gifford and Sons Olive Packers, will be held in Johnson-Saum & Knobel Mortuary. Cremation is planned. Mrs. Gifford, a San Diego resident for more than 50 years, died Friday in her home at 3643 Reynard Way. She is survived by her husband and her mother, Mrs. Ollie Moynahan.

Private services for Orville D. Gifford, 67, retired owner and operator of a pioneer olive-packing company here, will be at 9:30 AM today in Greenwood Mortuary. Gifford, who died Thursday in his home, 3643 Reynard Way, was a native of Jamacha Valley where his late father, Charles M. Gifford, was a citrus and olive rancher. The elder Gifford founded the family olive-packing business here in the early 1900s. Cremation is planned. The family suggested memorial contributions to the cancer fund. Services for Edward M. Granell, 60, who died Wednesday in his home, 5770 Severin Drive, La Mesa, will be at 2 PM Monday in Featheringill College Center Chapel. Born at Springfield, MA, and a county resident for 27 years, Granell was contracts manager for a scientific instrument company. He is survived by his widow, Ruby; a son; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Gates of La Mesa; and three grandchildren. Granell was a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
