We clip the following from the Woodland (California) republican: A few days since Mr. David Wolgamott, of Capay Valley, killed a large panther of California lion, in the hills near the California Quicksilver Mines, which measured nine feet from tip to tip and weighed 275 pounds. In order to secure the prize, Mr. Wolgamott followed his panthership all night-rather dangerous business. Mr. Wolgamott is a brother of Mr. Lemon Wolgamott of Bird's Run, Tuscarawas county, O.
