Claude D. Bowen
Woodland, Calif. - Claude D. Bowen, 82, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1990, at the Woodland Memorial Hospital in Woodland, Calif.  A native of Kansas, he was born Nov. 14, 1907.  He worked as a welder for the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons.  Mr. Bowen was a member of the Kansas Grand Lodge No. 261 AF & AM in Mullberry and the Scottish Rite Temple of Fort Scott.  Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Woodland, Calif.; one daughter, Dixie Pouncey of Woodland; one son, Gary Bowen of Woodland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Graveside services conducted by the Masons were held Friday, Jan. 5, 1990, at Monument Hill in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Craft Brothers was in charge of the arrangements.[The Pittsburg, Kansas, Morning Sun. Twin Sister of Mrs. Sandrock Dies Suddenly in Woodland

Mrs. H. W. Sandrock received the sad news of the sudden death of her twin sister, Mrs. Mollie Peterson, in Woodland Thursday night from strangulation caused from diphtheria. Mrs. Sandrock did not know her sister was even ill. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon and was private. Mrs. Peterson was a prominent citizen in Woodland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Schlosser of Woodland and the wife of George E. Peterson, wholesale vegetable merchant. She leaves three children; another sister, Mrs. Herman Wilkendorf; and four brothers, Gus E. Schlosser, Jr., Los Molinos; John Schlosser, Zamora; Julius Schlosser, Oakland; and Henry Schlosser, Zamora. [Roseville Tribune and Register, Wednesday, 2-6-1929. SUbmitted by K. Marynik]
