City Offices and Officials

The City Hall is located on 14th, between Pearl and Walnut; the Fire Houses at 1038 Pearl, Maxwell and 4th, Aurora and 10th; Police Headquarters and City Jail at 1018 Pearl street. All other departments of the city government have offices in the City Hall.
The fiscal year of the city begins on the first day of April.
Under the statutes of the State the Mayor, two Aldermen from each Ward, the City Clerk and the City Treasurer, are the only elective officers and serve a term of two years.
The regular meetings of the Aldermen are held at the City Hall on the first and third Monday evenings of each month.
