Grave Registrations for the Indian War

Dunstan, Edwin - Born November 23, 1841 at Truro, Cornwall, England, died December 18, 1829.  Buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona, Montgomery County (MS).  Served as Captain, 1st Co. Independent Militia, Boulder County, Colorado.  Enlisted July 8, 1867.  Information given by Miss Louie Dunstan of Winona and Mrs. E. O. Whitehead of Jackson (daughters).  Remarks: Edwin Dunstan came to Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada in 1856, and to the Colorado Territory in 1859.  He returned to Canada in 1869, and in 1890 he came to Mississippi and was in the timber business until he retired in 1919.
