Kent County, Delaware Crime News



We have an account from Kent County upon Delaware, of a most barbarous murder committed there near Duck Creek, by one
Henry Smith on the body of William Half-penny, for asking him for money due to said Half-penny, the said Smith stabbed him was his knife.

We hear from Dover in Kent County on Delaware, that one
William Turner, a noted robber, store-breaker and horse stealer, was lately taken there and carried into Maryland where --- reward had been offered for apprehending him; which was accordingly paid. [Philadelphia --- From March 21, to March 30, 1737, 8; Paper: The Pennsylvania Gazette]
