Mrs. C.F. Hodges, an estimable lady of Melborne, Fla. Is in the city visiting her son, Alderman J.W. Hodges.

Presiding Elder Phillips, of Live Oak conducted services at the Methodist Church Sunday morning and evening.
Miss Francis has returned from Gainesville and has accepted a position in the millinery store of Mrs. J.M. Schroder.
Mr. J.N. Langford one of Lake Butler's popular young men, is assisting Collector Dowling in the collection of taxes.
Andrew Albert, the Telegraph's pressman can't get his face straight to save him. The cause of his exuberance of spirits is the arrival of a new baby at his house.
Mr. Charles Smith, formerly night agent of the F.C.& P. R. at this place, but who has been absent for some time, has again accepted that position. Mr. Smith's many friends are glad to have him back.
Starke enjoys the distinction of possessing a feminine Nimrod who shoots a gun with much more precision than some of the gentlemen who have lately infested the woods. Miss Mary Richter, of Madison, GA who is visiting relatives here drove over to Lawtey Tuesday afternoon with a party of friends, and on the way succeeded in bagging a sufficient number of birds to divide with her friends.
Sheriff Johns has in custody John W. Shaller, of Providence, whose reason has been dethroned by financial troubles either real or imaginary. Mr. Shaller is at times rational, but at others becomes violent, and a few days ago attempted to kill his brother by striking him with a plow. The unfortunate man was examined by Dr. E.L. Stewart and pronounced insane, and will be kept in custody by the sheriff awaiting the Orders of Judge Call.

Ward-Turner
The event of the season in the Zif neighborhood was the marriage on February 21st of Mr. E.J. Ward, of Litesville, and Miss Mamie Turner, of Zif. Judge Wm. F. Malphurs of this city, performed the ceremony.

The groom is the oldest son of ex-Representative E.P. Ward, is well known as one of Bradford county's progressive teachers and a young man of excellent character, while his fair bride is a daughter of postmaster M.W. Turner, of Zif and a young lady possessing the many womanly attributes that will fill to overflowing the cup of joy of the man of her choice.

Miss Lula McDonald, of Madison, who has many friends in this city, was married to Mr. Jeff L. Davis, manager of the Tavares Herald, on Sunday, February 17th ,
