SHARPE, WILLIAM HAMILTON Orange grower, legislator, was born May 5, 1836 in Lowndes County, Ga. In 1866 he was a delegate to the reconstruction convention; was a member of the state senate of Florida during 1878-1886; and was a delegate to the interstate agricultural convention at Atlanta, Ga. For many years he has been chairman of the board of county commissioners of Brevard county, Fla; is a successful orange grower of Sharpes, Indian River, Fla; and the president of the Orange Growers' Association of Indian River, at City Point, Fla.
