Alma, Aug 30, Jeff Googe, son of Sheriff J.W. Googe died here yesterday from typhoid Fever. His wife and one child survive.

Death of A M. McLaughlin,
The remains of  Mr. A. M. McLaughlin, a well known naval stores operator, were carried through the city from Jasper, Fla. to |Alma Ga. where he will be buried, Mr. McLaughlin died of typhoid fever, after an Illness of several weeks, Ills wife died of the same malady a month ago both of them being dangerously ill at the time.
He was 43 years of age, and was an excellent man, esteemed by all who knew him. He had relatives and friends all over this section. He leaves three young children to lament his death,
A committee of seven from the Masonic lodge of Jasper accompanied the remains to Alma.

Bacon County Fire Death List Climbs Oscar Williams Dies from Burns Received near Alma, Making the Fourth Victim
ALMA,  Dec 29.—Oscar Williams, who was one of several seriously burned near here Thursday when the home of Joe Williams was destroyed, died this morning at 8 o'clock, his Injuries were regarded as fatal from the first and physicians held out no hope for his recovery,
His death makes the fourth from the fire, three others having perished when the dwelling was burned..
Will Be Buried Today.
The funeral service of Oscar Williams will be conducted at Pine Level Church tomorrow.
Riley Williams, who was badly burned about the face and upper portion of his body, is reported to be getting along as well as could be expected. It is believed he will recover, but it is feared his eye sight has be seriously if not permanently impaired.

Bacon County Girl is Victim of Rattlesnake
Alma March 17- Katherine Carter, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs Julian Carter, who reside near Alma, died here today from a rattlesnake's bite. The girl was bitten yesterday and while everything possible was done for her relief the poison had gotten in its work and she rapidly grew worse.
