Death Of Mrs. Keef Former Augustan and Well Beloved Woman, Died in Fitzgerald; Funeral Here Today
The many old friends in Augusta of Mrs. Cecelia ,Keef formerly of this city, were deeply grieved to hear yesterday of her death which occurred in Fitzgerald, where she has made her home with Mrs. N. Brum Clark for some years past
The funeral services were held yesterday morning in Fitzgerald, the remains being brought to Augusta for interment, arriving late yesterday, accompanied by Mrs. N. Brum Clark and Mr. Percy Ford Clark.   She will be laid to rest this morning at 11:30 o'clock, and the simple burial service will be held at. the family lot of Mrs. N.Brum Clark In the City Cemetery. Rev. Howard T. Cree will officiate.
Mrs. Keef was a Miss James before her marriages and was from a a well-known Pennsylvania family. Almost all of her life, however, since her marriage, was spent In the South, and since her widowhood she made her home with Mrs. Clark in Augusta up to about seven years ago. Recently they have made their home In Fitzgerald, where  Mr.  P. F. Clark was in  the  banking  business. Wherever Mrs. Keef made her home she was beloved by all who knew her, both young and old.    Her gentle nature and universal sympathy won the affection of every one who knew her, and her high degree of mental culture rendered her an entertaining companion to all ages.
Mrs. Keef has been a widow for many years, and is survived by a large number of relatives in Pennsylvania and Virginia, and by her sister. Mrs. N. Brum Clark, of Fitzgerald, her cousin, Miss. Emma McCann, or Augusta, and her nephew, Mr Percy F. Clark, now of Atlanta.

Dr. White, Fitzgerald Man, Passes Away
Fitzgerald, Ga., Oct. 1
Dr. C. B. White, one of the prominent a respected physicians of Fitzgerald, died at his home this morning after an illness of three weeks.
Dr. White was born in Belmont county. Ohio, in 1833, coming to this city from Freemont Ohio, in 1835, during the early colony days. 
He was married to Miss Kate De Pew, the wife who survives him, at Fitzgerald in 1897.
Dr. White was prominent in the affairs of the city, as well as in his profession. He was a member of the state and county medical societies One of the directors of the First National Bank, a member of the Central M. E, church, a G. A. R. veteran, and member of the National Union.
He leaves, besides his wife, three children of a former marriage; Mrs. Lowry, of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Stokes of Ohio, and Dr. T. K. White, who is in active practice in the city.
All are present at this time, as is also a brother, Dr. White; of Mount Ayr, Iowa.
The funeral will be held at the house tomorrow afternoon, burial at Evergreen cemetery.

Fitzgerald Loses Prominent Citizen. R. A. Wilson, Manager of Grocery Business and Director of First National Bank, Will Be Buried in Americus, Died of Appendicitis
FITZGERALD Ga., March 20.- Mr. R. A. Wilson, of this place, died  on yesterday from an attach of appendicitis
with which he was stricken some three or four weeks ago. A surgical operation was performed in the hope of saving his life, and for a time after the operation was performed it seemed that he would recover. He grew worse a few days ago and died on yesterday morning.
Mr. Wilson was a business man of large experience and general manager of Phenix Grocery Company, and a member of the board of directs of the First National Bank, and was identified with several other business enterprises. He was a most excellent citizen, and will be greatly missed In both business and society In this community. His funeral took place at his residence this morning and his remains will be shipped to Americus for burial.

Mrs. Leila Stephens
FITZGERALD. Ga -Mrs Leila Pace Stephens, 91, died Thursday morning in a Fitzgerald hospital.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald with the Rev. Drs. W Jeffrey Jones and John Burch officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Stephens was a native of Irwinton.Ga.. and had lived, in Fitzgerald since 1901. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and department superintendent. She was a member of Fitzgerald Women's Club, the Fitzgerald Garden Club, the Georgia Writers Club, of Atlanta. She was the "author of the novel ""Rhomelle" published in 1971 and author of a book of poems. "Enthralled." published in 1950
Survivors include one son. Eugene W. Stephens. Fitzgerald, two daughters. Mrs. W Jeffrey Jones. Augusta, and Mrs Anne Jenks. Richmond. Va.

B. F. Finical, aged 74, an old Federal soldier, died Tuesday morning at 1:30 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. D. Adams, 380 Simpson-st. He is survived by three children, Mrs. C. Clare, Mrs. J. A. Wilder and Mrs. J. D. Adams. Throughout the war he served in the First Minnesota Volunteers. The remains will be forwarded to Fitzgerald Tuesday from the chapel of Greenberg, Bond &  Bloomfield. The Atlanta Georgian and News – Atlanta, Georgia – Tuesday, October 18, 1910
