Recovering from One Ill Sen. Moore Dies of Another
SAVANNAH, Ga., June 11.—James G. Moore, former state senator from the First district and prominent merchant of Groveland    Bryan county, died tonight at St, Joseph hospital. He had been In the hospital for some two months for some trouble with his foot, but his death was caused by acute indigestion, following a lunch today.  He was to have been discharged from the hospital to return home tomorrow. Mr. Moore was senator in the last general assembly. He was sixty years old, and leaves a mother, two sons and two daughters.

SMITH.
After an illness of two weeks with fever, Mr. Joseph Smith, thirty years of age, died at the city hospital yesterday afternoon. He  was a member of this year's Mercer law class, and became sick shortly after the closing of school. The remains were sent to the homo of the deceased at Groveland, near Savannah, last night.

Willam Clanton
WAYNESBORO. Ga.. Feb. 22—William Roach Clanton, 77. husband of Mrs. Alice; Hayman Clanton, died  at his home in Pooler Tuesday night after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fox and Weeks Funeral Home. Savannah, with the Rev. Cecil T. Hunderwood. pastor, Pooler Baptist Church, officiating. Interment Will be at Black Creek Church Cemetery near Ellabelle at 3:30 p m. Mr. Clinton was a native of Bryan County, the son of the late Henry H. Clanton and Ella Olivia Horn. He was very active in political and civic circles. He owned and operated farm interests in Bryan County. He retired a few years ago and has made his home In Pooler. He was a former member of the board of commissioners of Bryan County having served for 12  years. He was a former member of the board of education.
Survivors include his wife: one daughter. Mrs. Thelma C Duff of Tampa. Fla : one son, W. Hlnton Clanton of Atlanta: one sister. Mrs. Florence Tincher of Jacksonville. Fla.: one brother. Grady C. Carton of Washington. DC: two grand-children, and one great grandson.
Active pallbearers, all nephews, will be Leslie Havman, Curtis Morgan, Hubert Morgan, F. B. Smith,  Elite Floyd, Vernon Van Brackler, Kern Hayman and Raymond Floyd.
Honorary pallbearers, will be Frank B. Miller, John Bachlor, Harry McDonald, R F. Lovette, Remer Lanier, Harry Rahn, M M Smith, Toy Davis,  C. L. Purvis, Rescoff Deal and M. A. Lawson.

Mrs. Nettie Kicklighter
MILLIEN Ga- Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Kicklighter, 78, of Millen. who died Thursday, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Green Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Fox and the Rev. Troy Hollingsworth officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ellabelle Methodist cemetery in Ellabelle Ga.
Pallbearers will be John Hall, John T. Harrington, Elbert Burke, Terry Brinson, Roger Brinson and Freddie Brinson.
Friends may call at Fletcher Funeral home.

Robert Branson 26. of Ellabelle was killed when the car in which he was riding and another car collided at 2 04 am. Saturday four miles east of Pembroke on Georgia 204 in Bryan County, the patrol said

Fred Danny Clark, 21, and Glen A. Powell, 18, both of Route 1, Ellabelle were killed Saturday night when the car in which  they were riding struck a tree 10 miles east of Pembroke on County Road 12 in Bryan County, the Georgia State Patrol said.

Mrs. Catherine Jones, an old resident of Bryan county, departed this life on Sunday last at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B V. Sneed, Jr. Mrs. Jones was 63 years of age and was well known in this.and Bryan county. She enjoyed the respect of all of her friends. The funeral took place last Monday in Bryan county. The services were conducted by Rev. David Boles. A large concourse of friends were in attendance. She leaves to mourn her death, two daughters, Mrs. Rachel Sneed, Mrs. Nancy Bacon; two sons, Messrs. March and Thomas Jones; and a son-in-law, Mr. B. V. Sneed, Jr., and a number of other relatives. They extend thanks for favors shown during her illness and death.

Suicide We learn by private letter, that this horried deed was perpeirated by a young man named Sims, of Bryan county, on Sunday the 24 by shooting himself in the head No cause is assigned for the act.
