Trouble About Post office. People of
Folkston Make a Kick About a Change
Waycross, Ga, June 7.—There has developed some dissatisfaction at the
change of the management in the post-office at Folkston. Col. J.
Price Robinson was appointed a few months ago by the Republican
administration, to
succeed Henry A Renfroe, a Democrat, Mr. Robinson opened the post-
office In the old Leigh building, which is not as convenient to the
principal business of the town as the location of Mr. Renfroe. As
a result, some parties
In Folkston have been mailing their letters on the train, The complaint
has reached the department and the postmaster has been instructed to
place a mall box near the depot for the convenience and accommodation
of the business men. It is presumed that this arrangement will be
entirely satisfactory to all of the parties and that the threat of the
government to have the mail cars locked as the train passed through
Folkston, will not be carried into effect.
