S. C Johnson, Solicitor of the Blue Ridge Circuit died on the 2d inst at Dawsonville, Ga, He had been suffering from dropsy of the chest for several months..

Samuel N. Bearden Oaees in Morgan; Final Rites Today
Madison, Ga.. Feb. 13.—Samuel Nelson Bearden, 77, for many years a prominent farmer in the Bethany section of Morgan county, died  at his home early Monday nignt after a short illness. He was a native of Dawsonville son of N. F. and Rachael Stone Bearden, and married the former Miss Mattie Bennett of Dawsonville.
Funeral services will be conducted by his pastor, the Rev. W.O. Cruce, from the Bethany Baptist church at 11 o'clock  tomorrow morning, burial to follow in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors beside his widow are:Five sons, Newton, Robert, George, Pontiac,. Mich.; Harvey, Atlanta. Charles, Buckhead; two daughters, Mrs. B. F. Gay. Washington. Ga.; Mrs. Henry Milam, Mountville, S. C; two brothers, J. M., Dawsonville; Newton, Cumming; Ga., and 11 grandchildren.

Oran Edgar Andrews, 66, of 2107 Howard Road, died at 6 a.m. Friday in a local hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Dawsonville Ga. he had lived here for the past 40 years. He wss a member of the Prospect Methodist Church and was a retired produce merchant.
Survivors include a brother, Elbert T. Andrews. Augusta; and a sister, Mrs. Decie Andrews Wooten, Atlanta, Ga.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Sons Chapel by the Rev. Olin Sizemore. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Michael Fredrick McKibben 20, of Atlanta died in a one-car accident near Dawsonville late Friday.

John Hathcock, 76, of Dawsonville and his wife Minnie, 73, were killed Saturday in a head-on collision two miles south of Dawsonville on U.S. 19.

A total of 22 persons died in week-end accidents in Georgia and South Carolina, state highway patrolmen said.
Fourteen persons died in Georgia died and eight died in South Carolina.

The bodies of Moore and Carlisle were found Sunday at a Gainesville.Ga., park. Police said the two apparently were overcome by carbon monoxide fumes.
Arp died Sunday when his car collided head-on with another vehicle on Georgia 1, officials said.
Martin drowned when he fell through an ice-covered lake Saturday in Gwinnett County.
Banks died in a fire at his Douglasville home Saturday.

Williams died of smoke inhalation Sunday when a convenience store north of Bremen burned.
Another fire at an apartment house in Cobb County Saturday claimed the life of Goetz.
Davis also died in a fire. Authorities said a faulty heater caused the fire at his home Saturday.
Nesmith was struck by a car Saturday while riding a bicycle on Georgia 121 near Metter.
McWhorter and Baldwin were killed in a two-car collision Saturday night near Trion on U.S. 27, officials said. They died after their car and another car being chased by Floyd County sheriff's deputies collided.
Cherokee County Deputy Sheriff Foster died Saturday when his car collided with a train at a Cobb County railroad crossing.
Etter was killed Saturday in Gainesville when he was struck by a vehicle while walking across Georgia 53. officials said.
Mrs. Johnson died Saturday in a two-car collision on Georgia 124 near Lawrenceville. ,.
A one-car accident near Charleston claimed the life of Gantt Saturday. Crooks died in a two-car collision on secondary road 35 near Kingstree in Williamsburg County.

Lloyd James Jones. 16, of Dawsonville died Monday when his car overturned on a curve about 10 miles north of Cumming on a Forsyth County road.

July 7, 1908 The eighteen year old son of Sterling Bruce of Dawson County, was thrown by a mule and dragged to death. He was returning from the field with plow and gear on the mule, which caught his leg in the chains. He was dead when rescued.
