Claude Gibson a power company
employe, died early today in a Bainbridge hospital of burns received
when he and two fellow workers came in contact with a power Iine on
which they were working near here.
The three men were
working four miles south of here late yesterday on a power line running
to Quincy. Fla. Gibson's clothing was set afire by the current and the
other man also received severe burns. Sawyer and Patterson were
reported in serious condition at a hospital at Bainbridge.

Bainbridge, died very suddenly on Wednesday last.

Rites For Johnnie Lewis, 3
Millen, Ga,. Sept.

Johnnie Lewis, 3, son of
Sgt. and Mrs. Ernest R. Lewis of
Bainbridge died this morning in Bainbridge after an illness of a few
days.
Funeral services
will be held Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the Lews Baptist Church
in
Jenkins county with
the Rev. Rollie Rhyner officiating. Interment will be in the Lewis
cemetery.
Besides his
parents, the little boy is survived by one brother. Robert Wayne Lewis
of Bainbridge and his paternal grand-mother. Mrs. D. M. Lewis of
Garfield.

MR THORNTON DIES IN
BAINBRIDGE, GA.
Mr. J. R. Thornton, one most
popular
citizens of Bainbridge. Ga. died recently. He was prominent in
several of the leading lodges, and an ardent worker and a loyal friend.

ISAAC S, A FRAZIER
BAINBRIDGE. Ga, March 6
Isaac S. A. Frazier, ?3, Civil
War veteran who died Feb. 28, in the home for Confederate Veterans at
Jacksonville, was buried In Oak City Cemetery here Sunday afternoon. Mr
Frazier was born in Mecklenburg. S. C. March 4, 1841, enlisted in
Company A, Eleventh North Carolina Infantry In March, 1862,
and was wounded In Franklin, Va,, In the same year. He
recovered and served throughout the war.
Mr, Frazier is survived by two sons, William Frazier, of Savannah, and
Joseph Frazier, of Bainbridge,
Funeral services were held in the home of his son, conducted by Rev.
Ward, of the Preebyterian Church, and Rev. Mr. Foster, of the Methodist
Church.

Mrs. Esther Harris, age 82,
died on Sept. 13 in Bainbridge, GA. She was born in Carlisle, PA
in 1774 and moved to Abbeville District, SC when her father removed
there when she was 10 years old. She had been a
Presbyterian. She moved to Georgia in 1828, a year after the
death of her husband, and joined the Methodist Church as there was no
Presbyterian church nearby. It appears that she died of a stroke.
