it was located on the Bell Ferry Road about six miles from Elberton on the original Key plantation
In Memory of WILLIAM BIBB KEY, who was born in Albermarle County, State of Va., Oct. 2, 1759 and died in Elbert
Co. Ga. Dec. 7th, 1836.
Erected by Nathan & Lucy Mattox 1850.
In Memory of MOANING KEY, wife of Win. B. Key and d/o Christopher
Clark, who was born in Albermarle County, State of Va., Aug. 12, 1764 and died in Elbert County Ga., Jan. 22, 1840.
