Obituaries
ARCH WOODS.
ADRIAN, Feb. 16.—News has just reached here of the sudden death of Mr.
Arch Woods at Meeks, at the home of his daughter, Mrs.. M. T. Riner.
Mr. Woods, a Confederate veteran, age 63, was one of the most prominent
men In this section. He is survived by eight daughters and one son, as
follows: Mrs. Henry Moxley, Mrs. Joe Moxley, Mrs. Poyell, of Soperton;
Mrs Durden, of Cobbtown Mrs P G. Wheeler, of Lyons; Mrs Dennis Meeks,
Mrs, M. T. Riner, of Meeks; Mrs. A, G. Braswell and J N Woods, of
Adrian. His brother, Hon I. S. Woods, recently represented
Emanuel county in the legislature.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced.

Mrs. Lois Bennett
Midville, Ga. — Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Zada Hendley Bennett,
76, of Midville. who died Thursday, will be held at 5 p.m. today at Ht.
Olivet Baptist Church.
The Rev. Tommy Jenkins and Pat Byrd will officiate. Burial will be In
the church cemetery.
A native of Emanuel County, she was a member of Mt Olivet Baptist
Church.
Survivors Include three daughters, Mrs. Vila Cross, Belvedere, S.C.,
Mrs. Nedra Tyler, Midville, and Mrs. Henry Canady, Swatasboro, Ga.;
three sons, Earl Bennett, Augusta, H. L. Bennett and Cotton Bennett,
both of Midville.
Pallbearers will be Ben Johnson, Joe Womack, Mallory Spence. Ira
Canady, L. B. Hall, Charlie Johnson and Vincent Johnson.
Friends may call at the residence until one hour prior to services,
then at the church.

Arthur E. Hart
Midville, Ga. - Arthur E Han, 58, of Rt-3 Midville, died Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Grove
Methodist Church with the Rev. C. E. Sego officiating, Burial will be
in the church cemetery.
A native of Telfair County. Ga., he was a farmer. He had lived in
Emanuel County several years.
Survivors Include his widow, Mrs. Bobbie Hart; six daughters. Mrs.
Zenoi Roberson, Swainsboro Ga., Mrs. Metral Nicholas, Chicago. III..
Mrs Rachel Outon. Adrian, Ga.. Mrs. Frances Wilcher, Wadley, Ga., and
Mrs Bernice Farrow and Miss Rosetta Hart, both of Midville; seven sons.
Arthur Hart, Millen, Ga., Willie E. Hart, Dublin, Ga.. Stanley Hart,
Adrian, Alfred Hart..Chicago, Stanford Hart. Danley Hart and John T.
Hart, all of Midville; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Hulett and Mrs.
Claude Giddons, both Of McRaie, Ga.; six brothers. Silas Hart, Jim
Hart, and Lester Hart. all of McRae, Lovett Hart. Otis Hart, both of
Brunswick, Ga., and Tom Hart, Greenville, N.C.

J. D. Henley, and Raymond Farrow,

Taylor D. Johnson
Garfield, Ga. - Taylor D. Johnson. 65. died Monday morning at his
residence.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Hebron
Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Rollie Riner and the Rev. Max
Alderman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Emanuel County, a farmer and a member of Hebron
Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow. Mrs. Myra Gay Johnson. Garfield; two
daughters. Mrs. Charles Martin, Swainsboro. Ga.. and Mrs Billy Oxford,
Rainesville. Ala.; one son. Toby Gay Johnson. Garfield; four sisters.
Mrs. Alton Hall and Mrs. Hugh Rountree. Twin City. Ga.. Mrs. Ben Aaron
and Mrs. Robert Bedingfield. Miilen. Ga.: five brothers. Richard
Johnson. Wayland Johnson and Monroe Johnson. Garfield. Reynolds
Johnson. Swainsboro. and Casey Johnson. Millen.

Lucian T. Brown
Kite. Ga. — Funeral services for Lucian T. Brown, 86, of Kite who died,
Thursday in Swainsboro, Ga., will be held at 4 p m today at Blundale
Baptist Church. Emanuel County.
The Rev. W. L. Gable and Keimer Durden officiating, Burial will be in
the church cemetery. He was a lifelong resident of Emanuel County
Survivors include a daughter Mrs Clifford Phillips Savannah, two sons.
