Glisson Dies Suddenly At Claxton
Savannah, Ga. Oct 30. Mrs. Millard H. Gilsson, aged 23, a member of one
of the south Georgia's leading families and a first cousin of
congressman Edwards, of the first Georgia District, died suddenly last
evening at Claxton after an illness of only a few hours. She is
survived by her husband, and an infant daughter, Mrs. Glisson was a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Edwards of Ellabelle Ga.

MAN TERRIBLY MANGLED IN GIN DIES OF WOUNDS
Claxton, Ga., Dec. 21.—D. B. Johnson. a white man, was terribly mangled
in a cotton gin near here today, dying later. One leg was torn from his
body. He was married and leaves several children.

Negro Shot Dead
Was a Murderer and was Resisting Arrest
Claxton Ga., June 6—Will Murrow, a Croaian or Scuffletonian, and
a desperate criminal who murdered a merchant named Griffin in Clinch
county last year, was shot and killed while resisting arrest by
Detective P. C Hodges and J. H. Hendrix near here yesterday. He
was drawing his pistol when shot by Mr. Hendrix..

Funeral Services of Robert B. Edwards
Savannah Ga. Oct 23 The funeral of Mr. Robert H. Edwards, the brother
of Congressman Charles G. Edwards, who died at Claxton on Monday night
at midnight, took place yesterday at Claxton. it was largely attended
by many of the friends of the deceased and of the congressman's
friends. Congressman Edwards came down from Washington on Saturday,
being called home by the serious condition of his brother.

MRS. ELI ROWE.
CLAXTON, Ga., Now 24.—Mrs. Eli Rowe died last night at the age of 70
after several weeks of illness. She is survived by her husband, five
sons, T. R. and G.W. of Hinesville, Ga,; H. V. of Clito; W. E. and R.
R.. of Claxton. one daughter, Mrs. H.L. Lanier, or Savannah; one
brother, G. M. Martin, and two sisters, Mrs. B. O. Hodges and Mrs. J.
J. Nevells, of Groveland. The funeral and interment took place this
afternoon at the Mikell cemetery.
