Mrs. Amy
Newsome—Entered Into rest at the residence, Edge Hill Ga., March 13, at
3:30 a. m., MRS. AMY McNEAL NEWSOME, beloved wife of R. Hubert Newsome,
in the 41st year of her age. Funeral services were held (SUNDAY)
afternoon at 5 o'clock at the Jordan Chapel church, conducted by Rev.
Charles Morgan. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery. S. A.

Services Held For Young Gibson Boy
Gibson, Ga., April 19—Funeral services for Otis Reese Jr., 6. son of
Otis Reese Sr., who died Tuesday at his residence near Gibson, Ga.,
were held this afternoon at Euphratese Primitive Baptist church, near
Edge Hill, Ga. The Rev. Sam Mitchell officiated.
Pallbearers were: Susie Walden, Grover May, Chalmers Reese, Arthur
Sammons.
Survivors besides the father are two sisters, Eva and Eula Reese;
maternal grandmother, Mrs; Mary Walden of Avera, Ga.

Mrs. Lizzie W. Huff
Louisville Ga. Feb. 7, Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Walton Huff of
the Edgehill community, who died Saturday, will be held at Church of
Gos, Wdgehill, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. B.G. Moxley will
officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.The body will be at
the residence in Edgehill until the hour of services.

Mrs. H.H. Hawkins
Gibson, Ga. - Mrs.. H.H. (Lucille Logue) Hawkins, 71, died Monday in a
Sandersville, Ga. hospital.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today at First Church of God,
Edgehill, Ga., with the Revs. Charles Mason, OC. Hawkins and Thurman
Walden officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Congregational
Methodist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Hawkins, a lifelong resident of Glascock County, was a member of
the First Church of God.
Survivors Include her husband; one son, Hunter Hawkins, Hephzibah; two
daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Amerson, Louisville, Ga., and Mrs. Mary Etta
Taylor, Keysville, Ga., one sister, Mrs. Eva Hawkins, Perry, Ga.; and
two brothers, Joe Logue and Charlie Logue Perry.
Palbearers will be Jamie Hawkins, Linder Walden, Lamar Hawkins, William
Hawkins, James Logue and Bobby Logue. Friends may call at the residence
in Edgehill or at the Sheppard Funeral Home until 2 p.m. and then at
the church

Edge Hill, Ga, - Authorities are still investigating the head-on
collision of a motorcycle.and.auto Friday night that left one man dead
and another seriously injured. James Floyd Wells. 20, of Mitchell was
killed when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a vehicle
driven by Harvey Sipper on Edge Hill Mitchell Road about 9 p.m.,
according to a spokesman for the Georgia State Patrol in Thomson.

Robert L. Lamb
Gibson, Ga. - Robert L. Lamb, 91, Calhoun Street, diedWednesday in a
Jefferson County hospital.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Jordan Chapel Church, Edge Hill,
with the Revs. Elizabeth Williford and David Jones officiating. Burial
will be in the church cemetery
Mr. Lamb was a lifelong resident of Glascock County and a farmer. He
was a member of First Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Maudie Black, Louisville; three sons,
Charlie Lamb and Tommie Lee Lamb, Gibson, and Clarence Lamb, Wrens; two
sisters, Beulah Dye, California, and Alice Pippin, Baltimore; and two
brothers, Russell Lamb, Gibson, and Edgar Lamb, Augusta. Pallbearers
will be Tommy Black, George Black, Raymond Lamb, Asher Lamb, Earl Lamb,
Wally Lamb and Anthony Lamb.
Friends may call at Sheppard Funeral Home until 2:30 p.m. today and
then at the church.

Mrs. Reba S. Swink
Wrens, Ga. - Mrs. Reba S. Swink, 77, Route 1, died Saturday at Humana
Hospital Augusta.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Jordan Chapel Church of
God Cemetery, Edge Hill
Mrs. Swink was a native of North Carolina and had lived in the
Wrens area for the past 40 years. She was a former employee of Gibson
Nursing Home, Gibson, and a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Dewey David Swink, Houston; two daughters,
Dorothy Louise Taylor, Columbus, Ohio, and Evelyn Fennell, Wrens; and
two sisters, Vival Britton, Hickory, N.C., and Bonnie Shaw. Maiden, N.C.
Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Evelyn Fennetl,
Route 1, or at M W Callaway and Sons Funeral Home until 3 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Emma Bell
Gibson, Ga. Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Dixon Bell
95, of Route 2, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, .1991. will be at 3 p.m. today
at First Edge Hill Church of God, with the Revs. O.C. Hawkins, Wilmer
Hall and Herman Walden officiating. Burial will be in Euphrates
Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Bell a lifelong resident of
Glascock Conty, had retired as a schoolteacher. She was a homemaker and
the oldest member of Edge Hill First Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Anita Black, Thomson, and Betty
Sammons, Hephzibah; a sister, Mary Lou Wood, Thomson; and three
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Reese Jr., Vergie Kitchens, Howard Dixon,
Joe Frank McNair and Gilbert McDonald and Roy Kelley

Funeral Home and then at the church.

Ronnie Kitchens
Thomson, Ga.-Ronnie Kitchens, 21. Route 1. Mount Pleasant Road, died
Wednesday at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. today at Bethel Methodist Church,
Glascock County, with the Rev. Billy Widener officiating. Burial will
be in the church cemetery.
Mr; Kitchens was a native and life-long resident of McDuffie County.
Survivors include his parents, Mr., and Mrs. Joe Kitchens. Thomson; and
one brother. Johnny Kitchens, Thomson.
Pallbearers will be Woodrow Kitchens, Billy Welch, Grover Hobbs, Marion
Kitchens. Ralph Hinton and Jimmy Hinton.

Mrs. Ben H. Cheely
Thomson Ga. - Mrs Ben Harper (Clara Bell Haley) Cheely. 85, of Mesena.
Ga.. died Tuesday in the McDuffie County Hospital.
