Death of Mrs. Sarah Cross
Tallapoose Ga., Jan. 28—Mrs. Sarah Cross, who has been visiting her son
here, Mr. A. P. Cross, died yesterday of pneumonia. Mrs. Cross was
about 70 years of age; While her condition had been serious for several
days, her death was quite a shock to relative and friends.

Col. G.R. Hutchens Mayor of Tallapoosa Is Dead At Age Of 62
Tallapoosa, Ga. Aug. 27 Colonel G.R. Hutcheson, mayor of Tallapoosa,
aged 62, died at 11 o'clock at his residence. He will be remembered as
the manager of the Underwood campaign in Georgia.

OSCAR WHITMORE COMMITTED SUICIDE AT BREMEN GA,
Carrollton, Ga. July 12.—Oscar Whltmore a citizen of this county,
committed suicide at Bremen, Ga., last night. He had just left
Carrollton and gone to Bremen where he took a quantity of strychnine
from, the effects
of which he died in a short time. No cause known for his act

Columbus Man Dies While Visiting Bremen
Bremen, Ga. June 27 While on a visit to friends here Dr. J.R. Dickie of
Columbus, died suddenly yesterday morning about 9 o'clock of hear
failure. He was a former resident of this city but had resided in
Columbus for the past several months where he was engaged in the
practice of his profession. He was about 35 years of age and a native
of Alabama. Funeral and interment will take place at his old home.

CHARLES L, COPELAND.
Atlanta, Feb. 1 Charles L. Copeland, a merchant of Bremen died at
a local sanitarium this morning He was 44 years old and is survived by
his wife, who is a daughter of Congressman Adamson, of the Fourth
district; several children, four brothers. J. N. of Atlanta; John C. of
Cornelia; W. F. of Bowden, and George T. Copeland, of Carrollton; and
three sisters, Mrs. H. H. Wicks and Mrs. A. E. Fleming, of Bowden, and
Mrs. G. G. Lavorn, of Newell. Funeral and interment will take place at
Bremen tomorrow morning: at 10:30 o'clock.

Death Of Pedro Montt From Heart Failure
President of Chile Died in Bremen While Preparing For Bed In His Hotel
At Midnight.
Bremen Aug. 17.-The death of Pedro Montt of Chile, in this city
last night was unexpected. He was preparing for bed, when he was
seized with cramps of the heart and died almost Instantly. His wife was
with him at the time. The hour was a few minutes before 12 o'clock.
Almost all the members of the president's party were still engaged in
conversation with Senor. Besa, secretary of the Chilean legation. As
soon as it was seen that Senor Montt's condition was serious, a
physician was summoned, but is was too late. President Montt passed
away almost Instantly. The members of the late president's suite are of
the opinion that the Chilean government will send a warship here to
convey the remains back to Chile.

DIES FROM WRECK INJURIES
Second Victim of Accident at Central of Georgia Crossing,
Rome, Oct- 5.—J. E. Mayson, well known farmer, living near
Bremen, died in a local hospital today from injuries received when the
auto In which he was riding was struck by a Central of Georgia train
yesterday, Joseph Furgeson, driver of the Auto, was instantly killed
and G. W. McDowell and his six-year-old son were injured at the same
time but were able to be taken to their home.

J. B. DANIELL DEAD
Mr. J. B. Daniell, father of Messrs. George and O. B. Daniell of
Marietta, died in Bremen, last week. Mrs. Daniell survives but is very
ill at this time. He is further survived by Mrs. W. S. Terry, a
daughter, and J. W. K. T. and T. W., three sons, who live in Texas.

Anthony Drexel's Funeral.
The body of Anthony J. Drexel arrived at New York Tuesday on the north
German Lloyd steamship Kaiser Wilhelm II. Mr. Drexel died at Carlsbad
June 30th, and, after the body was embalmed, it was transferred to
Bremen and put on board the Kaiser Wilhelm. The body was put on a
special train which started immediately to Philadelphia. The funeral
took place Wednesday morning from Mr. Drexel's late residence and was
largely attended.
