Lagrange, Nov 15 Sunday Mr. Jack
Morris of Heard County was under the influence of liquor, and
while riding his horse flew the track and ran into a little piece of
woods and threw him against a hickory tree, Mr. Jack Morris of Heard County Thrown Against A Tree and Instantly Killed breaking his back, crushing in his skull, fracturing his jawbone and breaking his thigh in two places. He died instantly. He was a clever, industrious young man, but would occasionally get drunk, and his last spree cost him his life. Date: 1888-11-16; Paper: Macon Weekly Telegraph Death of Mr. Watts.
Senoia, Ga. June 9 - Mr. William M.
K. Watts, of Franklin, Heard county, who has been living with
his son here died Friday morning. He was ordinary of Heard county
for thirty five years. His many friends will be sorry to hear of his

Brown, of Heard County, Dies from Blow on Head
Lagrange Ga. Dec 10 Lorel Turner, a farm tenant, as a result of a
quarrel with J.H. Brown, owner
of the property in the settlement of some crop, struck the latter on
the head with a pick axe, Mr. Brown dyingJ.H. Brown, of Heard County, Died From Blow On Head several hours later in a hospital at LaGrange. The affair took place on Mr. Brown's farm, in Heard County, Wednesday. It is said that the farmer suffered a broken skull from the blow, Turner has been lodged in jail at Franklin Ga., as the difficultly occurred in Heard County.
