In Special Publication No. 21 on page 54 are two passports dated 26 July 1809, issued to Bartholomew and Dempsey
Bussey, and to Martin Binson and Martin Winsit of Lincoln County, GA
Lincoln Coty, July 21st 1809
Dear Sir...
The bearers hereof, Martin Benson, Bartholowmew Bussey and Demsey Bussey intends takeing a view of the Natchey
Terrotory in order if they Like, to move to that country. Martin Benson is one of our old settlers and ever has
supported an Honest and industrous character. The two young M'ss Bussey are sons of one of our old Revolutionary
characters, they have supported an Honest & indoustrous characters. They will Hand you this in order to obtain
a passport from your Excellency - in order to travel on - as they dont wish to go without a passport in a Strange
Country. Your Excellency will please to let them have the same. "
