Georgia Genealogy Trails "Where your Journey Begins" |
About two weeks since a warrant was issued for the arrest of one Henry Blunt, a noted
Negro of this place, charging him with stealing lumber from the Georgia railroad. Blunt "skipped" as
soon as he heard that a warrant was out for him, but our vigilant officers kept up with him and last night he was
arrested here by our deputy marshal, Mr. R.B. Aycock, and a posse. He is now in jail awaiting the action of the
County Court.
