James R. Bagley, 33, of Columbia died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at Boone Hospital Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Thomas Dowler and James Spinner officiating. Additional services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Ponders Funeral Home in Dalton, Ga. Burial will be in Mount Herman Cemetery in Chatsworth, Ga. Visitation will begin an hour before services Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at Ponders Funeral Home.

Mr. Bagley was born Nov. 9, 1964, in Dalton to Billy and Vivian Wells Bagley.

He married Loretta Young on April 1, 1996, in Columbia, and she survives.

He attended Highland Park Assembly of God Church.

Survivors also include his mother, Vivian Dowler of Columbia; his father, Billy Bagley of Chatsworth; a son, Jonathan Bagley of Columbia; two daughters, Tabia Bagley and Vivian Bagley, both of Columbia; and a sister, Rebecca Nelson of Columbia.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
