Thomas W. Brooks, age 87, of 116 Lake Road, Madisonville, passed away 6:03 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2000, at his residence. 

He was a member of Azalea Masonic Lodge of Valdosta, GA. 

Survivors: wife, Carol C. Brooks; daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Herbert Clipson of Tucker, GA., Lysbeth Wakefield of San Diego, CA., and Jennie Lea Davis of Madisonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Thomas W. III and Helen Brooks of Hickory, N.C., and David and Marilane Brooks of Sugar Hill, GA; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Willellen Brown of Columbus, GA; brother, Barron Brooks of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Mildred Steele of Madisonville. 

Funeral service 8 p.m. Wednesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Vance Bivens and Rev. Bruce Poplin officiating. 

Interment 11 a.m. Thursday at Chatsworth Heights Cemetery in Chatsworth, GA. Masonic services 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. Wednesday at Biereley.
